I have a scar on the bridge of my nose from one of those sorts of episodes. I like to tell the ladies that it was from a knife fight that resulted from my drag-race opponent refusing to turn over the keys to his Camaro after I handily defeated him. I'm not sure why, really, because "walked into a piece of furniture" is a pretty sexy story too, but that's neither here nor there.

I just sent in my entry and now I am having a panic attack that revolves around "did I get confused by my list and cover a song that wasn't on it?" Coincidentally, this is also the kind of embarassing situation that too much alcohol can get one into, but I'm pretty sure I'm safe.

Where will the link to the home page be? Could one be at the start of this thread as well as the tail end?

Do the FM's put it on the homepage?

all yesterday, I was working hard to get this done, and it dawned on me this morning (about the time things should "dawn" I suppose)... someone is covering a tune I picked. Weird, but I'm excited by that? Who will it be? Which tune did they pick?

I am so glad I was able to be involved... fuckin A! What a great idea.

The GOM will have a page on Soultree Records (Eddiebangs' place) and the Fightmasters, hopefully, will post a link on the front page to there.

Dude, that is some serious indie rock look you got going on, in fact you look just like Rob Crow in that pic.

What is that line about "Daddy drinks because you cry"?

I just recorded temporary guy and guitar versions of the songs that Rachael and I needed to do. I did not want to leave our giftees empty handed, but we are planning on recording better versions after our downstairs neighbors have moved out. We might actually choose a second song from each list at that time also.

Sorry for the rushed "one take" thing, but hopefully it's better than nothing.

ROCK!

Holy crap, Pumpkin Buzzard covered all 4 songs?! Now that, folks, is true class. I haven't listened to any of them yet (going to start right now) but I wanted to say this.

So, who is still holding out?

These tracks are fantastic; I haven't finished listening to all the tracks so it's too early for shout-outs, but thanks to everyone who was a part of this!

Luke Henley: Please make more music like this. Get some gigs immediately, so i can follow you around, grateful dead-style, and trip on acid for a few years. This is, without a doubt, the absolute best cover of 'Cars' ever. That is all. Thank you.
