WEll. I was hanging out at gert masion but that place is freaking empty so I thought I'd come here and see if Des was kicking around but he's not to be found so then I thought I'd go to TSN and see who won the baseball game so I can know what to talk about when I get to work on Monday.

I dunno. the dj is some damn fine shiz though. all metal, lots of covers, and lots of obsxure remixes. and a live band was playing when we walked in. they were good. almost as good as the fact that nobody brought their girlfriends or wives this time, so there was no one that I could be a jackass at. tank da lord luvin jesus. it's gotta be close to bedtime, as I can't stand anymore, and I think I just paid 350 dollard to get to this point. I dunno, I'll check the bills in my pocjket tomorrow. whatever. it's all goos.
you know what I hate? I hate it when you play a certain style for the majority of your musical life, then you go to a metal bar and get all dranked up and start squealing along at the top of your voice, and you start to think...

anyway... do you guys ever get that? where you suddenly feel that a major genre jump should be in the works? likw where youve been doing 3 chord britpop for years, and you realize you could really rock the casbah with some 12 tone zasz? or maybe youve been trying for that sum 41 sound, and you come to the conclusion that you should have been the next henry rollins? I mean, how many bands think they are one thing, when they are axtually something else entirely? have you ever heard elron john's version of pinball wizard? he rocked the socks off those "the who" pussies. what if he had gone for a heavier zeppelin meets black sabbath sound? or what if michael bolston would have ignored his producer, and gone with the retro funk sound that he's been dreaming about all his life? man... I mean I'm not saying I could fill the shoes of puce or anything, but I'd like to think that I could at least be the next Eric B. or mars volta or whatever. mayabe start aboy band or something. exctept er're all old fat and bald now, so it's have to be called a man band. that could fly right? we could be heart throbs for all the 40 something spinsters and divorcees out there.

no... no, I'm not sure there was anything important there at all. Except that we have a bar called Metallica. I'm gonna have to steal stuff from there just on principle.

When you are half way through a mickie of fireball and have to work the next morning I highly recommend skipping your ferry/bus/taxi/carpool in favour of waiting an hour for the next one. Feels great.

I woke up with a huge scratch across my face, and I'm not entirely sure how it got there.

haha, the cute girl that works at the NDT test centre came out for celebration drinks. I made sure she was right f***ed, as she has to work tomorrow, and all I have to do is drive radiation 700km. It was funny... I haven't seen any of the old band members since I moved away 4 years ago, but when I stepped out of the cab, there was my old guitwanger. we were bith like "dubbya tee eff mate? what are the ofdds?" Then I found out his newly reformed band was playing, and their bass player SUCKED. So when they busted out one of the old Calm Before songs, he asked me to fill in on bass, as I was nearly fdrink enough to play like I use to. WE ROCKED. rocked the hizzouse. it's been so long since I played live, I forgot how unimportant sex is.

Really? That stuff works? I was under the impression that you need to ingest a huge amount in a very short time for it to do anything.

I guess this would be the best place to tell my 'most stoned I've ever been, other than on LSD' story.
I knew a guy back in the day who grew pot on a large scale. When he was harvesting, he'd make what he called 'plink', which was a flask of isopropyl alcohol into which he'd quickly dip the buds in. After several pounds of buds had gone through this process, the liquid would be a rich amber colour, and he'd pour it in a non-stick baking tray. After the alcohol had evaporated off, the substance (basically pure THC and a little resin) would be hard and glassy, and this was his personal stash (he was a total chronic) I hotknifed a little shard of this stuff once, about the size of a bobby pin head, and almost vomitted. Then, after my stomach settled, I was incredibly stoned, we sat and watched Star Wars on TV for about 45 minutes before realising it was in French.
