It stands to reason....Australian rules football is crazy, why wouldn't Australian drinking games be just as crazy? :O)

Man... the boards seem damn funny today.. like everyone is a comedian.. I just finished reading... that little convo between J$ and TVIH was pretty funny, and sober's little one liners.. and ...well... guess we can tell the holidays are approaching.. course I only get three days off.. but I'm finally in the Christmas mood...wouldn't know it from the fucking bank machines all failing after I had a grocery cart and a half run through the til... but filling the freezers and fridge with lots of dead animal parts for later consumption sure perked up my holiday spirit.

ho. Ho. Ho.

Yeah, thats what keeps me here... these funny funny people. The holidays ARE approaching and I get FIVE days off...paid if I want them.... but I'm taking six off with only three paid...so I have some time left for later. Which kinda sucks, because I may not be here all that much longer. Who knows. But our offices close for a week between the holidays...that was my point. I'm heading up to see my folks in North Georgia the day after christmas. THAT I am looking forward too. Get away from the city life and hang out in the middle of nowhere amongst the trees. I think I'm gonna take the LINE6 POD and some headphones...guitar too now that I think about it.

QUIT ho ho hoing me!

Whilst surfing, I came across this:

<a href="http://www.soldierworks.com/191/untilthen.swf" target="resource window">Flash Slide Show</a>

It's nice, but basic...just some good photography with a background track.

I posted it here (and not in the politics threads) because I didn't want to start a flame war. AND it shouldn't. It's just like I said... just some good photography. *smiley*

very interesting.... It seems to cover a lot of aspects except for one, the most obvious, the death of many people.... still, touching.

Yeah, the context in which I originally found it in was a 'we're wishing our soldiers a merry christmas' type thing. In which *that aspect* would be sort of a downer.

I'm excited, my uncle's tour is almost up ..should be coming home in January. 2 more years to retirement so were crossing our fingers they don't redeploy his unit right back. The possibility exists and whats worse is that they are closing down his current HQ in Kuwait and reopening it in Iraq somewhere when his unit's tour is over. So if he got redeployed he wouldn't have the luxuries that Kuwait has offered.

Santa knows who I am.

I saw this lip gloss for mum, and figured she'd like that as a little present, so I got it as it was only $10. There was this guy behnd me dressed as Santa--this is important. So I go up to the cashier, get out the gift card thing to pay, and hand the cashier the lip gloss. She scans it, looks behind me to the Santa guy. He had the real beard, big tummy, and really nice embroidered Santa suit. Even the big black boots and red cheeks. She types in some buttons and I go to hand her the card. Instead she hands me the lip gloss in a bag with a receipt and gives it to me, saying, "Merry Christmas" and smiling. She gave it to me for free. In a big chain store-Bath and Bodyworks. As I walked out, utterly beweildered, the Santa guy winked at me and grinned, chuckling loudly.

Weird, eh?
Songfighter since back in the day.
