The Song Fight Bulletin Board

Does anyone still have the songs? They're coming up as 404s on Glenn's site, and it looks like my stash is incomplete.

I think Glenn still has all the songs. We recently had a conversation about it and how there was a long forgotten Brother Machine song in there. He was able to dig through his archives and find it, so perhaps he still has all of them.

Yeah, I have no saved recordings from this project. My guess is I didn't like them and put them out of mind. But I'm finding that old songs are like old pictures. They bring back memories. Brings me back to that time.

Did anything ever come from later albums?

We also did the titles from the 2nd Prince album as well. And that's when we started getting a little notoriety and then backed out of the project before it went further.

Shame though. It was a fun project. i'd do it again. Maybe not with Prince titles. That's a ship that has sailed.

I'd want to do something like that. But then, I'm kind of busy until the end of May 2023 so I probably shouldn't commit to anything.

Saw a post in the middle there that said the first album had 50 entries...
I can look later at home to see if I saved anything.

Yeah that’s what the id3 tags on my files indicated.

Yeah, I have a folder here titled PurpleReign/2 that contains 27 songs, including the one I did with j$.
What should I do with them?

Don't see a /1 oh well.

oh and yes i have the brother machine song! it's good.

At the very least zip them up and link/post them. Even those of us who had no idea what was going on want to hear it.
