Thank you.

Oh my, that's a moody number. Not in my wheelhouse. I'll get right on it.

Hanky Code covers songs assigned but not covered by the “assignee”.

“Empty Wednesday” by roymond covered by Hanky Code:

Link to the lyrics:

viewtopic.php?p=222681#p222681

Completed/posted within 24 hours, plus Chumpy bonus, plus SoundCloud bonus.

Again, despite what it says on the SoundCloud link this is Hanky Code covering the song, not Jerkatorium.

That bassline is... awesome. I think this is my favorite of your (semi) random covers. So different from the original (which I loved, btw.)

Hey thank you, glad you like it. I was sure that I couldn't pull off roymond's soulfulness so I had to go in a different direction.

Also oops, I made a copy/paste error in that post: That is not a stiffed song (assigned but not covered). Empty Wednesday was assigned to me yesterday so it is not eligible for the Pigfarmer Jr bonus.

Dang, that was fast. I'm pretty busy at the moment but I've got updating the scores on my TODO list. Want another random song?

So I'm banging my head up against a brick wall with my GoM, and preparing for a crazy 2021, but yes, please subscribe me to this thing of wonder.

Hugs.

Here you go! You randomly got the one solo Song Fight entry by a friend of mine I met in 7th grade.

I did a cover of King Arthur's "I Will Be Acquitted" from 2009.
Who knew it would be so relevant?

This thread has been silent for quite some time. Time to revive it, I say! I would really feel honored if someone covered a song of mine, but chances are unlikely. I really need to do more SF entries, been coming out of my hibernation only for Nur Ein, mostly, in the last few years. Please assign me a song.

Hey! Thanks for reviving this. I feel like maybe I am still behind on updating the stats page and should look into that. Anyway, here is your random song:

Hey! So, unfortunately, I'm having issues with the Jukebox and can't hit the random song link. I will get you a song though when I get things sorted out.

Someone mention my name? ;) I reckon that between me, the Berkely gang and Ken's various Ken things, there's a decent chance of drawing one of our songs. Congrats or sorry, depending on how you feel.

I enjoy this idea a lot and hope to catch back up after a loaded July. Lot of projects.

T-Cat: Kinda different song from my heap. It's based on truth in that I was always good at drawing, painting, but lost patience for it in high school with the emergence of playing guitar and smoking pot. Would've been a better visual artist than musician, but there ya go. Looking forward to hearing your version, have fun!

Can we get a half a point or something for covering a random song by a particular artist? Did I say that clearly? Can we pick the artist but you give us a random song from them for like half points or something? *blinks*

T-Cat: Sounds great, man! I like the etheral synth moods and 'verby washes. Good vocals too. Nice work, always flattering to hear one of your own songs covered, this was a delight. Even if you didn't pick it! :) Do another!

I've done a few of these and they're good fun, challenging, a learning experience. I'll do some more when I'm able and hope others jump in too.

hey paco thanks for the feedback ! this was a fun challenge . and I really think you wrote quite a good song with this one, a good sign that I still like it after spending many hours working on figuring it out and learning to play it (as best as I could anyway) - I really like the bridge in particular. sorry it took so long to finish, that was mostly because I just couldn't really sing it properly, this is the best I could do after many attempts and trying a lot of different approaches with effects and stuff to try to get it to sound less ass.

I do think I'll do another one when Lunkhead gets a chance to assign it - maybe it won't take me nearly two months this time.
