The Voice beat me to the finish line by about three minutes. I'm done and in as well.
What really kicked me in the ass was seeing that the person for whom I was doing my song had already completed theirs. That really made me feel like I had to get this done tonight. And I actually like the result, too. It's pretty close to what I had originally envisioned.
Can't wait to hear 'em all!

I love deadlines.

I love the wooshing sound they make as they go by.

Sorry, coveree. Tomorrow, I swear. Or I can pull an all-nighter and mix this sucker tonight, but then it will suck a lot.

A lot more, I mean. :P :P :P

Mine is also in progress. I'll most likely be finished by Wednesday or so. I've had about 3 false starts in the process. I apologize to my giftee.

Not Quite- The mp3 is corrupted- it plays garbled noise. Try encoding it at a constant bitrate & upload it again. I PM'd you, but I don't know if you got it. I am especially eager to hear this, because I guessed you would pick the FNM song!

Roy--you ROCK. Delightfully insane!

Eddie, man, request a teensy change on the GoM page? Change the requestee from Rabid Garfunkle (sic) to Primitive Screwheads? Pretty please?

Since Roy *did* pick my bandmate's song, and all that.

This is kuffing brilliant, man! Thanks loads, EB, and Roy, and Niv and, hell, everybody! Merry Christmas, yo! Wheeeeeeeeeeeee!

Thank you Mr Shite.

Glad the extension gave me a chance to redo the vox with my new mic.

I originally attempted a techno/disco version of the Greatful Dead - then a ska version of Cracker - both very bad ideas. Luckily I had the fallback position of the Smiths who are familiar territory for me.

Anyway - a good time all around. Looking forward to the Screwheads, I'm Stranded - will listen when I get home from the office.

gaaaaaah! damnit...
i even tried using a different program this time -- sonic foundry instead of LAME.
has anybody else tried listening to it?
i'm hoping there's not something wrong with the WAV itself... argh. the mp3 plays fine for me (the first one did too) so i dunno. that really sucks. i'll try messing with it more in the morning i guess... sorry!!

Dear Mr. Eddiebangs. I hate you.
You're just too good.
I like your cover of VNV's Legion just as much as I do the original. Possibly a little more, cause im a sucker for guitar, and guitar solos, and the song sounds like theres almost one big solo going the entire time.

Did I mention that I hate you?
Good.

Now stop being so good.
*listens again*
Gah. how can I hate this? It just makes me too happy. Yea verily, thou hast brought the rock to the festive season. If I ever get to see you play live, I request you play this. I will totally rock out and dance like a monkey.
In under the skin, the fit is perfect

I am listening to these, making myself late for work in the process. All are really fantastic - Hell Yeahs - good good stuff (is that line really 'where the yellow people dance'?) And Caravan Ray - you MUST actually make 'Why the Long Face?'. That is really frighteningly good, and your vocal impression makes me wonder if Australia is after all, a Nation of Morriseys ...
