Yeah very nice job on the New Orleans cover j$.
I like Fluffy's cover this week, too. While I was away.

I'm looking forward to getting back into the mix. I'm liking the title "I'm Having Trouble Concentrating"

Your hand was in your mouth? Why...?

Thanks. I've been getting lots of practice from my webcomic.

Yours is pretty good too, as usual.

yeah, good work, fluffy. it doesn't really look like the webcomic, which i think says something good about you. also, the font is awesome.
i'm disturbed that the dog has no eyes, bort, but otherwise it's good :)

The font is just "Arcanum" from Blambot.

Well, my TV has eyes, which makes up for it.

It's a big shaggy dog, that's eyes are covered by hair. I included upside down quarter moons above the nose that show where the eyes are under the fur.

Boundaries has a bunch of puns and hidden meanings built into it. Just wanted to put that info out there... ;)

Yeah, looks like some sort of graphic design tool intended to ensure appropriate logo area and sizing and so on.

Yeah I see the similar "Swoosh".
I was going for that over used logo cliche thing, so I assume it would be easy to find similar logos to it out there.

Some of my thoughts and meanings behind Boundaries cover:
The logo is for a fictional company that works in the Dairy industry. The word Bound to represent the forward moving company that is taking risks and advances in new Dairy technology. The second word shares the d from bound in the word Daries which is just a misspelled but sound a like word for Dairies. The "swoosh" character is bounding over a cow and a hill. The letters B and S are larger than the others, to call them out. BS usually stands for "Bull"shit thus being related to the Cow and the idea that the company is really full of shit. The concept behind presenting the logo in a guideline format is to show the Boundaries to which you can use the logo. So it is both a play off of the word and a representation of the meaning of the word itself.

Hey, I don't say much, but this week's cover art is so clever, I thought it was worth mentioning. Nice job.

P.S. Why is this thread in Monkey Business? Shouldn't there be an art review thread in the Reviews area?

There is actually a reason from recent history to why we do not do that. Unlike the songs, the art is not submitted to the site with the intent of being reviewed.

Some folks don't mind the reviews, but if I remember correctly, one of our contributing artists chose to stop submitting artwork as a result of their techniques being criticized. This thread was made to concentrate more on the positives.

That's the short version.

ROCK!

Hi folks :) I think I'm back in the art game for a little while. I posted something for Clip Art this week.

I also took my Tank Top design and vectorized it, tweaked it very little, and submitted it to Threadless for fun. If it does OK, I might do some more original artwork there. For those who vote on the shirts there sometimes, check it out: http://www.threadless.com/submission/57642/Potty_humor
