I apologize immensely to my gift receiver for my tardiness. I'm just having a hard time getting a grasp of this song and I really don't wanna do another g^2 cover like I did the last 2 years. Hopefully I'll figure it out within the next 24 hours.

Glad you approve, Luke.

Your entry is making Gary Numan turn over in his grave, and he's not even dead. And I mean that as a compliment in the highest order.

I imagined that he/they may have written this tune as a desperate ode to a female that was never gonna come back.. he's all like "but baby, I got a new apartment, I got a line on a job, I got a new singer!!! when you coming over????"

So I tried to put that vibe in there... the tune's been in my head for the last few days!! So I'm gonna have to check out more custard now! I'd never have heard them probably if not for you!

Glad you dig!
I have the Best Of/Farewell CD. I can burn you a copy if you like. During the 90s Custard was shit hot.

This will probably only mean something to those who visit RemixFight, but every GoM song is going onto the work Jukebox.

And here it is. Sorry, I had to wait to make sure that your giftgiver hadn't covered the same song before posting. Happy belated xmas & new year to you and Michelle.

Now if only Craig had done this thing - I wanted to give him a little xmas surprise too, and I couldn't for the life of me remember any of his songs from last year except the one I did ...

No Cash Value is in.

& thanks for the awesomelywonderfulgreatness cover Abom! I especially appreciate how you nailed the chorus, how you got the vocal style & effect to sound just like John in this one. & I don't think I've ever been able to say this but, 'nice piano, Phil!'

Just in case anyone has already downloaded my cover, I just sent up a newly remastered version. I think it sounds considerably better.

roymond wrote:WRECKDOM! You bring new meaning to the global peace prayer movement. I love the "I'm manly" at the end:) Awesome thanks!
Phew! Man am I glad you said that because when you're giving a gift song to someone and you stray far from the original feel you have this uncertainty about how your giftee will take that, so if you enjoyed it that means alot. Personally, Peace Train is my favorite cover we've done, and on the track you hear we had fun but we also worked very hard on this one and the end result is quite awarding. Dang, GoM Rocks.

mmm... awesome, thanks, buddy. like it, especially the ending. i'll play it for michelle ...er, maybe tomorrow when she's awake.
for the record, i think you could've sent it to me even if it was the same song!
i don't remember craig's either. you can't go wrong with faith no more, i think :)

Finally I finished mine. I had to completely divert from my original plan but something really good came of it. Only problem is that I'm having trouble hosting. Can someone host it for me in the interim until I figure the hosting stuff all out?
