So 3 bands didn't submit (right?) Does that mean there will only be 2 eliminations?

Only 2??!?!

I don't think the Kamakura link is working ... that aside, this is an awesome fight from what I've seen so far. I really liked Tex Beaumont and Deshead so far.

Nur Ein Friday Update

Post by Ross »

Hey Niv, just an appeal.

As I mentioned last week, my firewall at work won't let me access Live Journal. If you could post the 1pm EST announcement on this board as well it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for all you're doing - having fun!!

Ross

Wow! singled out TWICE in the same thread! Thanks, Melvin!

As if that wasn't enough, I was able to get one of my heroes to listen to the song and comment on it.

He said:

"Like any good pop song I immediately think this is about me. Stretched too thin and desperate to honour my commitments. Good work,

CN"

CN is otherwise known as Craig Northey, member of one of my favorite bands ever: Odds.

Sven will be able to appreciate that.

ROCK!

Hey Glenn. Did I ever tell you that I saw Odds play at the local college lounge in, ohh, must have been 91 or 92. [edit] I guess it was '93[/edit] They had just released Bedbugs, and hadn't broken it big yet. People started moshing when they played 'It Falls Apart'. It was awesome, and Craig was actually a hilarious frontman. Cracked a lot of dumb jokes, etc.

An interesting figure in the annals of music history, this man's face isn't well known but his story is one of rock & roll's most infamous. Here's two hints to his identity- Under My Thumb and Northern California. </font color>

Jim Tyrrell has earned immunity, narrowly beating out Glenn Case by seconds.

The correct answer was Meredith Hunter, the man killed the Rolling Stones' Altamont concert.

Does the non-optional challenge include all types of rhyme or just end rhyme?

Woohoo!

Of course, Ken has set the Nur Ein Immunity Precedent, so to avoid looking lazy, I'll still try to record something. But nonetheless, woohoo!

Dude, you came in 5th. Jim then Glenn then Leaf then Ken then you.

I will have to consult the rest of the jury but I can venture a guess that tail rhymes are not allowed but assonance and consonance are fair game.
