hmm, this is a bit late, but since i didn't log onto songfight at all the weekend of the 8th... just going to post a happy birthday to my wife, m, who joined me on vocals for "if i were italian" and "el balazo" (nur ein 1), and who some of you met at SFPA. she doesn't read these boards lately, though :)

also, happy birthday to you other folks.

Yup, I'm still continuing my avatar series with all the animals from "Lemurs" that j$ and I did for my wedding!
Evidently that's the oldest fish in any aquarium right now.

I spent last weekend a Maryborough on the Mary River - the last remaining natural habitat (along with the nearby Burnett River) of the Australian lungfish.

The Mary River is also home to the Mary River Turtle - which is I one of (if not the only) the last remaining turtle species on earth which can breathe through it's arse (it has cloacal gills). And a lot of the people in Maryborough marry their cousins and have two heads. Weird place.

Damn. SFLive gatherings will be so much less exciting without the prospect of being busted by THE MAN.

At least now we don't have to worry about your drunken age-related outbursts at sushi restaurants.

In that case, you no longer owe me a chicken parm sandwich. You owe me a whiskey. Happy b-day.

Many happy returns of the day, SeƱor Kellis. Don't forget to take an asprin/painkiller before you go to bed

good advice, rabid. I'm going to Seattle for five days, I'm sure Spud will take care of me pretty adequately. I'm going to make it to Portland sooner or later. erik: sounds good. lord of oats: thank you! I forgot I was the original dude, that's pretty funny. thanks jim and anti-m and BLT (lots of people think I'm 25 or older now) and fluffy and so forth. you've made it hands-down the best birthday ever.
