So how many people still haven't submitted? How many of those have promised to? I'm thinking there are still quite a few. What say all us GoM orphans re-distribute our lists amonst ourselves so we still get someone to cover something?

As far as I can tell the list goes like this:

The Screwed

Dre
tviyh
Abominominous
The Hell Yeahs
Jim of Seattle
hujax
Starfinger
Clafborg

The Screwers

c Hack
Sven Mullet
Blue
HKD
Pray For Mojo
Tony Hightower
Calfborg
AWHAM

I know PFM and Calfborg have stated that they are in progress and Blue and c hack said they completely forgot about the whole thing but will get their songs done. I'm pretty sure Sober and King Arthur are covering eachother...

If I got any of this wrong, I apologize, I'm just REALLY wanting to hear my song!!!

Thanks for the list, Heather.

We'll give the slackers some more time to cough up a tune or to decide to bow out. After that time, if anyone is still without a gift, the GoM will come together, do some collaborations and gift the giftless. No one will get the Woodward Treatment this year, dammit.

(Josh Woodward didn't give TSI a gift in the 2003 GoM and I've never let him forget it.)

Yeah, TSI and I are covering each other, and by mutual agreement (communicated by the process of only getting our MP3s to each other a few days ago) we'll both be late. My excuse is that I jumped in at the last minute so Sobes could participate.

In the meanwhile, I did put http://www.charleswolff.com/SF/wljsr.mp3 together in response to one of Mr. Shite's "wish list" requests a while back... it's not quite "finished product" tho I think it's as finished as it's gonna get...

Yes, I would like to offer my meagre services to anyone who doesn't get a cover from their supposed coverer. Consider me the 'when wet' option ...

I am also available for fill-in covers as necessary, and may even cherrypick a few songs not covered off people's lists. I see some fun ones there.

Me three, though there's no guarantee it won't sound very similar to the cover I already turned in.

Also, covers have have blown my mind so far:

Roymond covers Primus
Jim of Seattle covers Deftones
Glenn Case covers Biz Markie
Starfinger covers Warrior Soul
R. Mosquito covers TMBG

I haven't listened to everything yet.

If by "walk into these these things," you mean "try to contribute to the community and get shot down," then yeah. I'm just offering to help.

Good for you for trying to contribute to the community. That is a good thing.

However, if you want to record a song for someone whose song did not get covered, remember that there are people from the last coverfight whose songs did not get covered. You were supposed to cover an Idiot Kings song. If you want to help someone whose song did not get covered for a fight, I would suggest you cover that Idiot Kings song.

If you don't want to be made fun of for not having recorded a particular song, then you should record that particular song. Otherwise, it will most likely continue to be mentioned.

Stopping by to say thanks Neil for the awesome cover! I especially like how your voice seems amused by what your singing, it sounds like you really enjoyed doing this. The layered voices at the end are very nice too. You rock. I can't think of anything more appropriate than Neil Thrun covering Ween for WreckdoM. Sweet. Everybody else brought their A-Game as well which equals a lot of very enjoyable listens. Double extra special thanks again to Niv and Eddie for puttin' it and keepin' it together, this was super cool.

Sorry for the lateness, guys. I got a new job at Harvard Business School, and I plumb forgot a second time, after I forgot the first time and was reminded. Here it is though, happy holidays Jim of Seattle!
