Sorry I'm late. Here's your cover, Hujhax.
Elephant Stone (originally by The Stone Roses)
Because I was late, I decided to give you a cheap additional short bonus version.
Elephant Stone [Version Two]
Merry Holidays. I hope you like.

Notes on my song: first, thanks Jim for introducing me to it. Great song. Great lyrics too.
Second, I've decided the song is about drawing. And even if it isn't, it still is.
Last, the one improvement my version has over the original is that it doesn't have that guitar riff that sounds like the beginning of Blind Melon's "No Rain." I'm still sick of that song.

c hack - I don't like to compare people's work here to other mainstream artists. But that sounds just like someone I won't mention. As if it was on that last album. Like it could/should have been. In so many ways this is a satisfying, complete and professional presentation. And I mean that as a compliment

really. awesome.
[edit]I fear this doesn't come off the way I intended. It actually sounds entirely like
you, just that the
style brings up the comparison, and the level of finish and resolute execution is similar to that other artists' commercial releases.

Wow, thanks! That totally made my day.
But who? You gotta tell me now (watch, you'll be like, "why, Weird Al"

)!

Hey, look everybody! I got c. hack! Zat cool or what?
You all have to check out this cover. Fantastic job. I couldn't have asked for a more appropriate person to cover this song, which is one of my favorite pop/rock songs of the last couple years. I love how the instruments layer in, and your muttered insouciant delivery works so well for this. Really, no quibbles at all. It's perfect. Thanks!!!
As for who the mystery artist is, are you thinking of Elliott Smith, perhaps? I was reminded of him a little bit.

Oh, come on...Beck. Is it that much of a stretch to put this on Sea Change? I think not.

My apologies for being so late, there no excuse except my complete laziness and procrastination. But luckily I’d did not have to work this MLK day, and had the house entirely to myself…
It took me a while to pick a song out from TVIYH list, cause there were all pretty good songs, Ultimately I had to burn them to CD and listen to them in the car until one of them stick.
After choosing, the song, it took me for ever to figure out how to remake the song,
Cause laying down the original track, and then playing along to it… sounds sooo lameeee.
Untimely I took the easy way out...

For The voice inside you head..
Like always, to be absorbed in complete crappiness please use headphone turn all the way up.

Dre- did someone already do a song for you? I had you on my list of people who didn't get songs done for them, but I had no idea that you are also AWHAM... well that makes sense I guess.
At least it's good to see that tviyh has been taken care of.
It sure doesn't look like any songs from your list have been covered:

bright eyes - method acting
so until I hear otherwise, you will remain on the list of the Screwed, but you (AWHAM) will no longer be a Screwer. Thanks!

I'm gonna pretend I didn't read that tonight and read it tomorrow morning so I can be happy all day tomorrow, rather than just for a few hours tonight before I go to bed

OK folks 5 gifts are still missing and it's been over a week since the second deadline. So I think it's time to call in the reinforcements. Those who still owe songs- do them, please. But anyone who would like to do an extra song for one of the screwed (or perhaps a song from one of the other people's list- though the screwed are the priority) PM me.

Of course, if it was a
real PSA, you'd have copied links to songs for each of them as well

When I get home from work I will post links to my songs... maybe that was the problem in the first place?!?
