My sales pitch for this one: I didn't spend much time on it! :P Tonight I played Rhodes over volca beats and then overdubbed awful noises via monotron delay.

I missed tonight. I saved my energy to go out to a concert in San Francisco. Back at it tomorrow. I brought home my other synth from the BSS space so I can incorporate that into my rig. Could be fun!

Loving that last one, fluffy! Extremely chilled-out and feel-good. I'm hoping to get back on track today after taking yesterday off due to piano lesson taking up all my musical-energy for the day, but I've foolishly had a post-work beer and now it's even more of a struggle than usual to motivate myself.

I spent all my musicality today working on a song for another thing which will also be tomorrow's novembeat thing, so meanwhile here's some bullshit for today

[EDIT] eh two-for-one special today

I got a bit carried away with this one. Does it NEED to be six minutes long? Probably not. But is it six minutes long? Yes.

I'm back at making noise today. To try to make up for missing the last few days I'd hoped to make several beats but only wound up making two. Also I still have to catch up on listening. In good news I've got all my stuff home and all synching together and I'm very excited to finally start figuring out what I can do with it. But also I'm kind of wishing for a MIDI synched looping pedal as while it's cool to only use built-in sequencers on the devices it is rather limiting.

Orchestral / piano thing today, with a rhythmic loop made up from field recordings that I made on a walk to our local waterfall

I'm catching up on listening faster than on making. :/ I'm really enjoying all the stuff you're both making!

I just stumbled upon this video by accident while looking for something else. It's a hack to be able to stop/start chained volcas at once. (So far I've been stopping/starting every sequencer on every device individually. This would allow me to start the beats and keys at the same time at least.) In hindsight it's kind of obvious that this would work this way. You just plug a disconnected cable or adapter, into the sync in of the first volca in the chain, hit play on all the volcas, then unplug the cable/adapter from the first one, and voila! Similarly if you plug the disconnected cable/connector back in they all stop. Very cool!

I don't have the mental energy to comment coherently/specifically on these but I just wanted to say I've been popping in to listen every so often randomly and have been enjoying it!

I haven't had the spare energy/give a crap to make one every day. But here's a nightly doodle.
