Hoblit is probably more sick of waving than anyone else on Songfight!*

plus he has the longest continuous running avatar. in the 2 plus years i've been around, it's possibly the only thing that has never changed.

I don't believe it's actually Hoblit waving. I think he has assistance, perhaps from the "Grassy Knoll". That make's me the conspiracy theorist of Songfight!

Well, now that you mention it. The way the picture is framed and composed, it crops out a section of the elbow to the point that if one had a slightly reasonable doubt, one might assume that it could be possible that the hand and forearm that are waving do not actually belong to Mr. Hoblit, but someone else. Of course, I realize that it's supposedly an animated GIF file.

Or is it?

But his shoulder's moving. Unless he's moving that arm somewhere out of the camera's view and the arm is still of someone unknown.

Intriguing :P

All of the people discussing Hoblit waving are the autistic community of songfight.

A person could marvel at smallpox as an entity so perfectly suited to its purpose. And yet few are sad at its lack of presence in our daily lives.

The gap between genius and stupidity is narrow yet yawningly deep. Many people on their quest for the former stumble in. Sadly those who find themselves at such an empasse, instead of rooting deep inside themselves for the energy to clamber up the sheer walls, expend the last of their energy complaining that no-one can hear their cries for help.

Or in other words, no.

There's also something strange going on with Mr. Hoblit's right eye, as it appears to be winking, but upon further examination it seems to be an intermittent reflection. This made me curious so I blew up the image and noticed what appears to be a human figure crouched down in front of him that is reflected off of his glasses.

I'm sure there is also an explanation for this too.

Funny you should say that, Hoblit. Everytime I see your avatar, I think it looks like you're a convenience store clerk being held up at gunpoint, being told to act normal. "Everything's okay. Look I'm waving. Move on. Nothing to see here..."
