El Balazo by Ross Durand
Sung By Anja

It was ‘93 when men with guns came to our village on the Rio Del Fango
Taking what they could and taking lives if they should find some in their way
We might not be here any longer but for the gun of a stranger who opposed them
And it still seems like a dream that El Balazo rode into my life that day

Chorus:
He appeared out of nowhere and went just as fast as he came
But after he was here we never saw the men with guns again
Rio Del Fango’s runs clearer our village never was the same
But El Balazo disappeared just like the shot that gave the legend to his name

Verse 2
When the gunners happened on me my papa fought like 10 but they overcame him
And as they took my mama from me I had to turns my eyes way as not to see
Then from the shadows came a shot and guns and gunners like a rain fell to the ground
And El Balazo whisked me up and took me with him to a safer place to be

CHORUS

BRIDGE
And to this day some people wonder if he was ever really here at all
And no-one can believe that just one shot made all the men with guns fall
And no one can explain why I alone was left unharmed
And I never can explain the way it felt to be in El Balazo’s arms

Verse 3
So now I’m left here all alone it’s only me and my little Balazito
He has Abuelo’s eyes and Abuela’s gentle smile upon his face
But when he runs I see the spirit of the man the legends call El Balazo
My only souvenir of the night I spent in that safe place

LIKE A VILLAIN
Tex Beaumont and the Dirty Hearts

Midnight
sees you out causing trouble on the darkened streets again
Daylight
And you're knocking at my window saying "Let me in!"
I say "alright"
Like I did last time and the time before then
Then we fight
Then tomorrow I will do it again

It's the bad things about you that make you good
Those things they say I shouldn't do, yous how me how I could
Like those anti-social kids that used to frighten me at school
Your criminality is just so cool!

You walk like a villain
You talk like a villain
You look like a villain
You act like a villain
You run like a villain
Have fun like a villain
You're my little villain, yeah you're my little villain
You work like a villain
You smirk like a villain
Creep and sneak and lurk like a villain
You're my little villain, yeah you're my little villain
Yeah yeah
Yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah.

Sometimes
I think you take things a little too far
Like that time
You went ram-raiding in a police car
Your friends
and you act so totally tough
That's OK
'cos you bring me lots of really cool stuff

Under the wagon over the top, don't wanna ever have to make you stop
Like Elvis in space you have to acquire all the crap that you desire
You've got your guns and ammunition that our youth may find fleeting fruition
Be my gangster, be my mobster, be my little broken monster

Like A Villain

Convince yourself it’s okay
To keep your feelings at bay
Let no one ruin your day
By raining on your charade

Some things never change Some get distorted and strange
You keep your distance and say You think it’s better this way
Can you remember a day When you would give it away
You put it all on display Now you don’t do it that way

You save the things you’ve done
Keep everyone away

Another penitent day In the prison you made
And you’re wasting away Like a villain in chains
Becuase the deal that you made Will be eternally paid
By living every day Just like a villain in chains

You save the things you’ve done
Keep everyone away
But when the race is run
Will you have won the day

Another penitent day In the prison you made
And you’re wasting away Like a villain in chains
Because the deal that you made Will be eternally paid
By living every day Just like a villain in chains

You know that nothing you say Could ever change yesterday
So you live every day Just like a villain in chains
And when it all goes away Only you will remain
Still living every day Just like a villain in chains

Like a Villain

You act just like a villain
Oh, how things change and come undone
You need some penicillin
To clear up your infected tongue

I would've laughed if I heard someone say that I could fall in love in just one day
But I did, and now to my dismay

CHORUS

You lie, and cheat, and steal
Like it's really no big deal
And I don't know how to feel
You're like a villain

I act just like a villain
Can't stop myself from being cruel
I'm too unwilling
Once burned by life, twice would make you the fool

I would've never thought that you'd be replaced, but I can't stand to see your face
I'll leave you a bittersweet embrace

CHORUS

Now I lie, and cheat, and steal
Like it's really no big deal
And I don't know how to feel
I'm like a villain

Things fell apart
We stole each other's hearts
And ripped them up, and there's no way to start again

by WreckdoM

I built a giant robot in my garage
With lazer beams and rocket launchers
Jet pack boots and thunderball fists
And an espresso machine for when I get sleepy

Ah-hahahahahaha
Ah-hahahahahaha

I'll use my new powers to conqure the world!
I'll hold the president hostage for a thousand tacos
My own t.v. show and the playboy mansion
And I'll have the Dave Matthews band perform at my birthday

Ah-hahahahahaha
Everyone will tremble!
Ah-hahahahahaha
Before my awesome wrath!

When I was young I was weak and frightened
But now I see the way to take control
I'll pour radioactive waste all over my body
And I will develope supernatural powers!

Ah-hahahahahaha
Ah-hahahahahaha

I will mutate and grow to immense proportions
And smash things with my enormous hands!
I'll put my own face on top of Mt. Rushmore
And use the Statue of Liberty to knock down the Eifle Tower

Ah-hahahahahaha
No army can stop me
Ah-hahahahahaha
Now who lives with his Mom?!!

Like a Villain by Calfborg

He's a mystery to everyone he might not see
He's just snuck in the window of unassuming victims
Every little head he counts becomes its own little wall mount
Like a villain, his stomach churns up bits of guts of children

Her feet they got itchy
He's a mystery
Naked on the meach
He eats her feet
The sand turns to evil
It's not conceivable
As bloody as the dirt
Her body is inert

Oh Christ, the knife
He rolled back into the freezer, into the freezer
Deep in the night
He went wailing off into the darkness, into the darkness
Near comatose
This is cold, This is as cold as I can get
He is alone
He is alone
He's not alone
We wanna go home

Like a villain, his wrist shakes
Like a villain, his fist shakes
Through the curtains, through the windows
No shadows, no comprendo

Like a Villain
by Ross Durand

You know me, I’m the guy who lives next door
Sometimes I help you with your groceries
I smile and wave when I see you in the yard
I think you even kinda like me

But inside I’m like a villain
From a ‘50s double feature
Who constructs a secret weapon or breathes life into a creature
And deep inside some secret basement I’ve been hatching my perfect plan

Cause I’m gonna rule the world
I’m gonna rule the world
I’ll hold the fate of the world in the palm of my hand

There are things that you hide inside
The waking world doesn’t want to know
The murders that run through your mind
But devils live in quiet ponds
I know your dark side
I know your dark side

You know me I’m the guy who lives next door
I like to think that you can trust me
I watch you play with your children in the yard
But the thoughts I have disgust me

Cause inside I’m like a villain from a dime store comic book
Who wears a mask out in the nighttime to disguise the way I look
Cause the voice I’m hearing in my head says you’re the one who has to die

If I’m gonna rule the world
Cause I wanna rule the world
I’ll hold the fate of the world in the palm of my hand.

Like a Villain - deshead [with help from jack shite]

Where were you when the call went out?
Watching over your back, no doubt.
These things I can't explain another way.

The call is ours. If we want to change:
Stand upright and face all our pains.
It's true we both can't have all that we want.

(you always had to get in my way)

So we headed out in the street,
had our day and we said our piece.
There's long been nothing more that I can do.
  • So many days, we've let it go, unrestrained.
You're like a villain, at odds with all that's right.
I know you've got somewhere to go
and it's somewhere far away.
It's not about what's right or wrong,
the choice is made,
the choice is made.
  • So many days, we've let it go, unrestrained.
You're like a villain, at odds with all that's right.
So, we had it coming, the idle and the cool
Yeah, we had this coming,
but me I want to get to the bottom of it all.

Pull yourself together now ....

Like A Villian
------------------
by Octothorpe
with help from the judges

Hawthorne saw me on on the street.
Came up and stepped on my feet.

Why is he so mean to me?
It must be jealousy.

from Mean to Me by Johnny in the Corner
Or maybe he just secretly.
Would like to be with me!

I then hand him my number.
He goes in search of lumber.

[Begin Chorus]
Eat a picnic.
Like a bear.

Make me laugh.
Like a clown.

Drive me crazy.
Like a car.

Steal my songs.
Like a villian.
[End Chorus]

The barman was a large guy.
His shirt was off, chest bare.

Rosie had a pierced eye.
Causing her to stare.

from Punk Bartender by Johnny Cashpoint
Rosie and the barman.
They go back to his place.

Kissing every tattoo.
That he's got on his face.

[Chorus]

Charles had a head of cabbage.
He took it to the library.

Perched on his shoulder.
Words from the dictionary.

from Naked on the Meach by Jack Shite
Where the greatest joys of life.
Are never out of reach.

I've never been to a better place.
Descriptions cannot teach.

[Chorus]

What is your name?
Calling to me from the roof.

Your hair is all crazy.
Holding a pumpkin like a goof.

from The Wrong Girl by Jack Shite
Once you got inside my head.
I refused to let you out.

I should have read between the lines.
But I never had a doubt.

Sirens calling out for me, calling out, they call for me
Calling out, they call for me...

just another kid growing up in Motor City,

How did I fade into arc-ing darkness?
How did I fade into arc-ing darkness?

Just hold me back, cause I can't take it,
This horror, I just can't shake it,
Can't hold me back, cause I'm willing,
This madness I find so filling
These humans are ripe for killing

Like a villain, I am chilling while I'm plotting my course
I torment with bad intent, I show no twinge of remorse
I got a story that's so gory, you'll be stunned by it's force
It's delicious, cause I'm viscious, like the darknest night's source

I had a reputation for unprovoked violence,
The most unlikely gangster that London's ever seen
Built on myths and endless lies, no excuse or alibis
A parasite, a well-dressed tumour
A book of broken dreams

Then you said that. I think... now I'm wondering if that's a Niv lyric...gonna have to check now!

It was ONE of you anyway...

You know, it took many hours to find a gleam
of lyrics that could fit my theme....
I think it worked though. It fit my scheme.
Perhaps I shall reward with a bottle of Jim Beam.

A parasite, a well dressed tumor?

I know I didn't write that.

Ahhhh!!!!!

Man, I REALLY wanted to pull from all of you...I collected TONS of lyrics from past lyric threads... now I'm thinking that when I plunked them into a list under each of your names that I totally messed it up... oh well.

Did I attribute ANYTHING correctly???

"A parasite, a well dressed tumour" is a J$ line from "Moscow, Idaho". I had some involvement in that tune but very minimal, mostly helping with the prosody.

ah... I thought that was you. Ah well... now to figure out the "violence" line...otherwise, I got you all right I think.

Fuck. See, that' s what I get for researching things at 2 in the morning. I had a whole verse based off of Niv's "wtf" as my "motivation" for becoming a villain, but I couldn't find even a remote connect to some of the stuff I was pulling from others, and I figured that line would meet my objective of trying to pull from all four judges...
