I used a women's razor on my face the other day, and it was the best shave I've ever had. Perhaps my face is contoured like a woman's leg?

Mach 3, Edge gel, shower, little stick-on shower mirror.

Cool trick to make a mirror fog-resistant (not proof): Put shaving cream on the mirror, rub it in good.

Shave down, and only down. The grain on my neck is weird, it doesn't travel up, as I'm told most people's do. Anyway, shaving against the grain irritates my skin.

For the pelvic region, same thing. Shave only with the grain, to avoid ingrown hairs that make you look like you have herpes. Better to be less than perfectly smooth than look like a leper. Picked those tips up from the ladies.

it seems the hair on my neck typically grows from the center of my thoat outward. this thread is so full of useful information.

[edit: i should be more specific -- the hair all over my neck seems to be growing in an outward direction, away from the middle, not that it ONLY grows from the middle of my neck like i made it sound in the first place.]

You're giving contrary advice. Shave with the grain, whether you have to shave down, up, sideways, or backwards.

Yeah, on the neck, totally. Never go against the grain on the neck.

Hey -- sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but I just had to bitch.

Ever try the Mach 3 Turbo? (hint: don't).
The only thing "Turbo" about it is the quickness with which it becomes dull. Seriously.

PRO: have never cut myself with this razor.

CON: nor anything else (i.e. facial hair).

Screw razors. Pound em in, and bite em off on the inside.

I would think biting razors would lead to nasty cuts in the mouth, but whatever floats your boat.

And don't get me started on the problems with the topic of screwing razors, unless you mean literally "with a screwdriver."

Has anyone ever noticed how in razor commercials, they always shave at a curved angle from the sideburn down to the chin? Does anyone actually shave like that?
