hell i'd even be willing to write or contribute to writing a premise or treatment pitching this if it would help.

i think ken's idea is awesome. especially if it could help defray any cost.

I actually pitched Songfight as a show once. The company was intrested, but didn't necessaraly see it as viable. I actually have a plan on how to do it and make it work, but there are massive challenges involved to do it and keep it away from the American Idol format. At the end of the day, the show should be more about the Fighters than the songs, and that's tough to do. One day I will pull it all together and try pitching it again.

My people did lunch with Russel Crowe's people - and Rusty is very keen to play the part of 'Caravan Ray'. The idea of amatuer musicians fighting seemed to strike a chord with him.
