Heh, sp00n, thanks for covering this. I see your vocals are about as easy to understand as mine were :) Very minimal, and you managed to avoid my in-the-wrong-bpm dashed line sound, so that's good! Fun! You got the right kind of feel for the song.

Nigel, Mogosagatai, I'm flattered and honored that you've both improved on my silly songs. Thank you. :D

That's awesome, Mogo. What delay plug-in are you using on that vocal track? It sounds so... natural!

I'm still entertaining thoughts of doing covers of a lot of these songs.
The 3 above are particular favourites - but I can't find lyrics for them. If you guys would like to post them or PM them to me - it may help me get started.

Ray - I posted the lyrics in the archives just in case you want to dive into the pool of stink. Look at those two guys around me - zoinks!

Also: I actually mixed down my version of Caravan Ray's "Under The Horse" yesterday. I don't have hosting, but will get a way to host n' post it either today or tomorrow, right here on this very board.

That's a very kind offer, thank you. I mailed it off to a friend who posted my coverfight song, and am waiting for him to post. I guess I shouldn't put off doing it myself any longer as there are plenty of things I'd like to share, and not bug someone to do for me. Thanks again though, very much appreciated! Here's to community!

Charlie, you do know that you can have 4 songs hosted at a time at myspace music, or 3 at isounds. I'm sure there are others too. Plus isounds does a battle of the bands thing that's pretty cool.

Yeah, but I'd like to have room for lots of stuff. I was thinking that besides sidefights and what-nots here at SF!, there'd be something like the old 4-track song of the week, favorite live and studio songs both by myself and with others, maybe an archive of sorts and some photos. I'd like to participate more over at Somesongs too. Maybe it's all masturbatory, but what the heck - I'm sure one or two people might check it out!

Maybe you should get a website like some of the guys here.
Shortly after I joined isounds, the owner offered me a free six months of their "loud artist" service if they could use one of my songs on their front page. It's pretty cool, so after my six months are up, I'm going to continue. It's 9.99 for six months, and they host 100 of your MP3s, 100 photos and a few other services. I'm not sure if this is good or bad, but 20 bux a year to host 100 songs seems pretty good to me. You can check it out here.
