I've gotten through all the songs on the "Rocks The 80's" version on Hard. I had little trouble until the very last song (some Extreme tune I had never heard before).

A good game, but disappointingly short (only 30 tracks). Still, it's a nice hold-me-over until GH3 comes out. On to Expert level!

I bought the game at around 9 this morning. I beat the game just before noon on Hard.

It IS a very short game. 30 songs, and you can't buy new songs in the game like you could in the last two. The whole thing just seems like the Guitar Hero II game engine with a little bit of a different look, some different songs thrown in, and next to nothing in the way of extras.

Jim, you might have heard "Play With Me" by Extreme and not even realized it. It's the song that is playing during the chaotic mall scene of "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure".

OK, finally beat the remaining songs on expert and bought "The Log". I guess the only fun thing left to try to do is to beat "Jordan" on expert, but I don't think I'm going to try that. It would require too much practice. Bring on GHIII!

Damn, are those all the bonus tracks for GH3? I was kinda hoping for more Freezepop / Made In Mexico, since both bands were on GH1 and 2. I think it is coming out on PS2, tho I'm sure the newer systems' versions will prolly have more downloadable stuff, etc.

I have been stuck on the expert ver. of "Electric Eye" in Rocks the 80's since the day I bought it. I only made it through the solo once, and when I did, I was so frazzled by the end of it that I botched the easy parts and failed the song, almost at the end. Seems like a lot of people don't like "80's" that much, and justifiably so with the bare-bones content, but I'm happy just having Only A Lad... and Holy Diver. Singing's kinda off on Holy Diver, tho.
