"Anomaly: Deviation or departure from the normal or common order, form, or rule."

I took the definition and did a song on fruityloops-and-glockenspiel, rather than my usual fuzzy-guitar-and-computer-drums. I couldn't think of a decent lyric with "anomaly" in it, so that's the best I could do!

Awww, that's so sweet. Here's how far I got.

I walked around with this on repeat for two days, and managed to find some vaguely Elton John-ish melody moments. But come Sunday night it was a choice between this mess and hanging out with my wife. Listening to this again, I think I made the right choice.

FL Studio (as it is now) and Audacity are the only two programs I use.

I mostly use wavepad free edition (in combination with a BOSS BR-532 and FL Studio 4

We submitted our entry for Anomaly about twelve hours shy the deadline, so hopefully the fightmasters will include it in this here arena of musical grudgematchery, as this muthaluva truly wields the iron fist of WreckdoM!

It may not be Metal in it's strictest interpretation, as it's less than 2 minutes long, but there are metal elements.

I still use a version of Finale I bought on my student discount in 1996. It's actually the 16-bit Windows 3.0 version, but it still runs on WinXP. It's the only MIDI sequencing software I know how to use. And my MIDI needs are so modest (drums and the occasional bassline) that it's just not worth learning anything else.

For this fight I deterred hardcore away from Akterdekk (which translates to sh@$ in German :p. ) Which we had literally no equipment to do.

I ended up ironically using Fruity Loops, Audacity, and Simpletext for Pirate Bingo Steakhouse.

Finale is the awesomest program I've ever used for midi. It's so simple, yet powerful. Glad to hear people still use it.

Every week we get together, sometimes with musical ideas, sometimes not, and play for about two hours and hope for the best. Sometimes there's plenty of time for splicing, sometimes there isn't, but all of our tracks to date have pretty much been live recordings, with no overdubs . . . and sometimes it showed

This week, we had some musical ideas, and they were admittedly challenging. I know we're already known for playing lots of odd meter, but the 11/8 at the end is ridiculous! I can't wait to try it out live! Although I didn't tink about it when we were playing it, if you had told me that the 6/8 lines that Glennny wrote for the middle section were actually Steve Howe, I would have believed you . . . for the most part!

So, if you don't mind the occasional 8:45 song, then I hope you enjoy our cut, which certainly has it's metal influences too, particularly at the beginning and end. Otherwise, we'll go back to taking 2 hours of music and trying to stuff it into 3:30 for your every-so-demanding pop music ears

The new cut is down to 5:30, I actually lobbied to cut my solo completely but Martyr kept a short one.

....if you'd have told me Bill Bruffurd was jamming with the Ziplines.......

BTW Ken is known for many things Producing, Song Writing, Drumming, but I must give him his proper respect as a guitarist too.

This is a good track , for Zipline anyway.
