Okay boys, that's enough. Go start your own thread if you want to post pictures of yourselves and each other. We're here to save somesongs, goddammit.

So.................you're probably wondering about the Save Somesongs Tip of the Day. Wonder no longer, people! But also know that the weekend will bring only ONE tip--there will be no tip tomorrow. And here it is, registered somesongs users (sorry other people--still no word from Jeff on registering issue):

Today (or tomorrow), update your User Info. You know, where you have "A Good Song," "A Good Movie," etc.? Well, some of you probably still have Tubthumper by Chumbawumba or the equivalent. Go in there today and make some changes so the site looks like it's occupied by the living. Look, I did mine: http://somesongs.com/user_info.php?select=3

If you haven't listened and rated and commented on a song yet, do that too. Huzzah for somesongs!

This is great! I missed the good old days of a living somesongs. And Tuuur has written a bevy of comments on Pumpkin Buzzard songs that are totally making my day.

Does Tuuur have a job? Because jeez. He's commenting on, like every song ever.

My timing seems to have been really good, because I only just fixed the links to most of my songs. They'd been fixed for 24 hours or less before Tuuur got to them. Color me impressed.

Anyway. I just found this little ditty by Roger, Roll which I think people ought to listen to, because I found it pretty good, but also because it stalled at a perfect 10 with 6 votes. That shouldn't happen.

I think Tuuur has a broken leg right now, so he's got a lot of time to kill. And actually, you just presupposed tomorrow's Save Somesongs Tip of the day! So I may as well post it now:

Go to somesongs and find a song that you really like that didn't get many votes before it disappeared off the front page.

Let's say it has less than 15 votes. If you're having trouble finding one, click on the "Lost Songs" link. Post it here for all to see, like this: Party Till Yours Ears Flop by Killer Channel

Here is your Save Somesongs Tip of the Day!

Find a somesongs user who used to be active and has disappeared from the scene. Contact him (or her) and tell him we're trying to revive somesongs and encourage him to listen and rate a song or post a song of his own.

I'm going to send a note to Brick Pig right now.

Jeez!
I was wondering why all of a sudden songs and people started arriving again on somesongs... You're doing a great job frankie!!!

And yes, I got a few weeks of time, because of a broken ankle and shattered metatarsal. Had to undergo surgery because of it... it will take another 4 weeks before I can start trying to learn to walk again.

Has anyone else had a problem with their songs becoming "hidden" for no reason? I just checked and all but my most recently posted song was hidden. (The files on the webspace haven't moved in years, so that's not it.)

Hey, it's nice to see to much activity over at somesongs. Lots of song-posting, a moderate amount of song-reviewing. Here's my Save Somesongs Tip of the Day, which is also somewhat of a challenge:

Go to somesongs and click on the "Past's Week's Tops" button (currently 19 songs). Rate any and all that you haven't already rated! Yes, I know it's a lot of songs, but no more than a typical week at SongFight. Don't forget to write some comments too!

(I'll try to follow my own advice too. )
