Stories to tell is definitely a priority for me. I would just hope it wasn't at the expense of a scar. Although noting that scars are the makers of the BEST stories.

Well we can't all rent out the Downtowner Motel. Where will the toothless chain-smoking/drinking pregnant hookers stay?

That was one of the "rules" that came out of that tour - know your venue's surroundings, and lodge accordingly.

But at least I could smoke inside the room without worrying about getting cigarette burns in the bedsheets - they were there already.

As long as its not like the Atlanta youth hostel where my (albeit cheap and tacky) belongings were moved into a different room whilst I rocked out down the road.

Less hostel, more hostile.

Update: The venue for Songfight Live 2009 is almost certainly going to be The Empyrean. I have played a show there, and been to other shows at this venue. I think it will be absolutely perfect.

I started explaining Songfight live to the guy in charge of booking, and he sounds psyched for it. He's out of town for the moment, so we're going to discuss it in more detail some time next week. I will have further details after we talk again.

Glenn, since you are familiar with the place, what is the capacity? Is there drinking? Is it an over-21 venue? How is parking? You would think they would have that stuff on there website. Maybe they do. It says Music and Coffee. Perhpas I have my answer.

There are many meters near the venue, but parking could admittedly be better. Nevertheless, it's one of the few challenges I can think of as far as how accommodating this venue will be.

You missed the real mistake. It's 'Perhaps', 'not Perhpas'. As far as 'there' goes, I left out a word. What I meant to say was 'that there website'.
