Yeah, just the one, at least under that name. This track is a classic, too, though also vulgar and offensive:

One of these days I hope to do one of those keepers that years later, someone here at SF that replace us in the future, comes along and says, hey, check out this old song by some guy called teh BLT I found in the achieves.

I just found this guy Renwick in the archives, and he reminds me of a cross between State Shirt and Sven Mullet or something. He's got a handful of songs which are all almost really great (the vocals could use some work). They've got big huge guitars though, and they rock, for those of you who are into that kind of thing.

i really like this song by Swindle Staccato for Galaxies Floating on a Dark Matter Stream. it was apparently the subject of some controversy because of lyric burgling. still like it.

I wouldn't have minded if they had bothered to credit their lyrical source (me.) I don't like the pompous vocal delivery but the tune is pretty.

Yeah, i think a day and a half before. I was particularly hacked off as I was particularly proud of that lyric (still am as it happens) and we had finally managed to get everyone together to record one of my songs and managed to sweettalk Steve Durand into bringing his fantastic 'Sketches of Spain'esque trumpeting into the mix. Then (in my crazy english mind at least) there was controversy getting in the way of people hearing the song for what it was.

So I don't post my lyrics in advance anymore, which either is or isn't a shame depending on your viewpoint.

Still need to find a far less furious / more suitable drum loop for the song, though

I hear you. Post your lyrics once the fight is up. I think the whole lyric burgling thing is cute and fun, but to not credit the writer is fucking obnoxious.

This song strikes me as a really good example of a way to do a lo-fi song with simple instrumentation (it's mostly guytar) that's still compelling, in a Tom Waits-y kind of way:

From the same fight, the Unknones - Hoblit and some other people who I have disgracefully forgotten, with some brilliant Caravan Ray words written in memory of Johnny Ramone, who died the week before. weirdly sounds more Green Day-ish than it seemed to at the time, but that's no bad thing, I guess -

It was sort of thrown together in the IRC but I can't say for sure who all was involved--
I do believe Hoblit provided the vocals, maybe guitar too. I played bass for that song... and I want to say Blue Lang was involved too -- but I could be wrong about that.

I'm pretty sure I was just vocals on that. I think Sober Irishman either did guitar or drums..maybe both, I can't remember for sure. I know that he was involved to some degree. I always liked that song but felt the vocals were mixed WAY too high. Here in Florida the Dunedin Brewery does a Ramones Tribute night once a year and I've always hoped to dig that song up and perform it there with Ghost Town Gridlock.

EDIT: I think BLUE mixed and mastered it actually now that I think about it. I remember his 'squash the hell out of this' compression style.
