Alright, got my 14 songs. Four Three of them are only half-finished, and I'm considering cutting two (especially taking into account how early in the month it still is), but 14 songs before going to sleep on the 9th ain't half bad.
How's everyone else doing?

I haven't counted how many I've got, but I'm guessing I've got at least 8-10 pretty good ones. Then I have a lot of scrap material that I probably won't touch ever again. Have you guys started recording any, or are you just going to do demos?

Having decided to try a new approach this year - writing all the lyrics first, then recording one a day as live as possible, I am 9 songs into my 'Warning: May Contain Ukelele' album. I am intending to upload 7 of them this Saturday, and the remaining 7 in the final week. Or sooner if I finish sooner.
Just so you know I haven't bailed.

I've been busily writing songs for Zinkline's FAWM and Dre's RPM. I've got 4 done for the latter and 8 done for the former (plus 2 in the works).

A few days behind, but I have 6 songs up, which is more than I thought i'd do for the whole month coming into it. I've got 3 in the workings yet. I've got it basically figured down to being a song-a-day, Monday - Friday until the month is over for me.

Me too. 18 songs. All uploaded - stupidly back to front. I'll put up a stream and lyrics tomorrow as right now I'm off to get drunk and sing along to Swedish Eurovision heats.

Yeah, I would like to have actually recorded demos for all 14 songs before the month was up (and also, there was one I never finished, with the intent of finishing it and cutting "Me Me Me Me," but whatcha gonna do), but stuff happened. I guess everyone's got their excuses. Mine were a car accident (and all the hassle involved with trying to get it fixed and then trying to replace it) and new job adjustment. And a broken microphone. By the end of the month, it was nearly impossible to record vocals or acoustic guitar on my mic. Oh well.
Songfight rocked it out this year! Great job, everyone!

I'm with ujnhunter on this one. Some dope shit, indeed! I was thinking that I was hearing some Joe Strummer influence in there, and then "Pope of Drunk" came on. Now I'm actually convinced that you're channeling his ghost and forcing it to write songs for you. Nicely done! Magnificent lyrics and catchy melodies throughout the album.
Keep in mind that I typed all of that paragraph out BEFORE hearing "Know Yr Rights"!
I also thought it was a good idea to have a stream and lyrics available. So, I'll follow your lead here.

Thank you guys!
I love the ukelele, being cack-handed on it makes me have to concentrate on the words and the melody, and what do you know, i think it suits me. There'll be more.

I'm finally flipping through the demos I recorded for this - I'll post a track list once I've determined the order.
Maybe I should have worked on this in February ...
