Good one. Plus it sounds like he played and sang everything. All of the other mash ups I've heard are re-mixes.

I still need to think up a good mash up to do. Any suggestions?

That's cheating, BLT. The genius of the mash-up is in having the imagination to figure out what works with what.

Fine, I'll think of a great one and I'll show you.......
....I don't even care! They don't know what they's talkin' 'bout! Next time they hear about me, they-they-they's gonna be like, "We was wrong 'bout BLT". 'Cause, 'cause I's gonna be huge! I-I's gonna be bigger than every one of all y'alls!

edit: *light bulb!* I'll mash up Stewie quotes to music.

edit deuce: never mind, that would suck.

One of the most interesting and original mashup concepts I've ever heard of is Mashed In Plastic. Several Mash-up DJs (including some of my favorites like G3RST, Wax Audio and Voicedude) have come together to do mashups based on the music found in the works of David Lynch. It's eerie and fascinating.

whenI was googling for bootie last weekend I found this

http://www.bootieusa.com/bestofbootie2006/index.htm

If you scroll to the bottom of the page there are links for bestofbootie '05, '07, and '08. Some pages have bonus bootie on the left of the pages that are not included in the zips. You have to download them seperately. I downloaded everthing and ended up with 114 mashups

How has this thread been around for like six years without anyone posting this?

Hank Handy did a mashup combining 40-some-odd Beatles songs into one 3:36 megamix. It's AWESOME.

AplusD's Bootie Blog (http://bootieusa.com/blog/) is great. Every month they put out a top 10 list and you can always find some exceptional mashups there.

I have been very impressed lately by the work of DMF (Danish-German Mashup Forces a.k.a. Dan Mei & Marc Johnse). Their newest mashup "Smooth Romance" is quite well done:

It's Lady GaGa meets Santana featuring Rob Thomas with a surprise appearance in there.
