See, I wish that was literally correct, because I could use that money.

I'm sorry, but I recorded my vocals and instrumentation for "God Will Give You Blood to Drink" in different keys. On purpose.

If I may ask the burning question. Why?
Ya Josh, that question's still out there burning.

Is it just semantics, and you'll now be "submitting to" instead of "entering" Songfights? Are you Costanza-ing, on a high note? Are you stawarz?

Together with everyone else, I'm in for Gallows Hill. And in antipation of reviews:

(a) No, it's not a real guitar, but can you tell the difference?
(b) I have a cold
(c) It isn't about a man who wants to join Al Qa'ida
(d) L2 DirectX VST compressor, by Waves

BTW, Calfborg? Who is that utterly gorgeous man in your avatar?

Stephen J. Miller, the fourth tenor (apparently, he's also known as 'Cold Russian Morning'):

A unique solo opera tenor that can sing anything in almost any range! Miller has is estimated to have millions of fans according to the number of emails and mail he recieves, at 39 Miller is still young in voice terms and has recorded over 1500 songs and arias, everything from Queen to Puccini, from Detroit Miller has developed a strong soul as well as a powerful Tenor sound yet to be beat.

World record holding Maestro Miller has been labeled as possibly the greatest male voice of our time.

My old Friend Ken (I believe you call him "The Amazing Ken"?) told me about this place about a year and a half ago and I'm finally jumping in. But after writing and recording "Gallows Hill" it looks like I chose the popular title for the week.
I'm looking forward to being in the thick of the fight.

PS - Newbie question: How do listeners generally weight song v. production?

It's a sliding scale which changes for each listener.

Here's a thread with some thoughts on that matter.

Cheers.

Though I was Gallows Hilling, I have decided, due to an overwhelming desire to be slightly more historically acurate, to move to the 'God will give you blood to drink' fight.

Grumbleduke is proud to pronounce that the spellbinding Ducking Stool will be partaking of the fight they call Gallows Hill. Hold your breath, you're going under...

Geez and I keep hoping someone titles the Gallows Hill Review thread with something on the order of, "How's it Hanging?" Gallow's Hill Reviews.

What the hell is this talk of trolls? I'm about get a little pissed...

troll
1. A large, brutish creature of European myth, often lacking in intelligence. Sometimes compared to the Japanese oni.
2. A dumbass who makes idiotic posts in message boards newsgroups for the sole purpose of pissing people off, often lacking in intelligence. Sometimes compared to people who pass you by on the sidewalk then grab you in inappropriate places

I'm having a tough time understanding how sta warz would be labelled a troll for saying he's got a song for this week's fight, and even promoting it.

StaWarZ is not a troll but he's just a li'l confused on board etiquette. Hopefully, he'll figure it out, or he'll just end up another Statistic.

I just did, and you are quite wrong. He is just acting like a dong. If that makes someone a troll, you will need to potkettle yourself.
