Vocoder is completely appropriate for the style of your song. Better vocoder than poorly-recorded-and-mixed phlegmy/nasally/out-of-tune vocals. I appreciate the consideration. Heh.

It's a rhetorical strategy called "poisoning the well". Like saying "Everything my opponent says is a lie". I'm not ascribing any nefarious motives to Butterskoskostage's post, however.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to whip out the fingerpeeler of shame and be all "SHAME SHAME ON YOU" but more like "No need to apologize, nothing good ever comes from that". I certainly don't think that there was any deviousness involved.

Nonsensical Whims

Post by darb_ »

Thank's to all who have given their opinions on my first submission. In no way did I feel that my song was complete (just last night I realized I could've added some effects to the vocals) but I'm new at this and didn't have much time to submit. So why did I submit a song I didn't feel was ready? Well, when's the next time that title would come around again? :o

Thanks all you guys, esp. Leaf and Tonetripper, I'm really pumped that you guys were into my song! I had a feeling that Max would take the win. But ya know, I ain't never gonna drink any foolish god-blood from any chalice, nor will I ever build a brotherhood or a palace. I will however, often refer to, and sing about, phallus...

Max rarely posts... and it took me a minute to realize that he's quoting, not mocking... congrats on the win! You too had a good tune, though I also thought it was Boltoph's win... it was in my books, but it was also a great fight!

Thanks Max, your song was really catchy, had great guitar, and I'm glad you won because you really used the title well (definitely something I failed to do). I think it's quite a well-deserved win. Right on!

Well I don't think it would have mattered much considering the large numbers in voting for the Cat, but if I had remembered to vote it was for Boltoph. Seriously kickin tune dude. Maybe one of my favs ever here at SF. Going into the favourites and prolly gonna shine some light on friends of mine (who don't feel the same about the greatest site on earth) about what kind of awesome shit comes down the pipe here at SF. Awesome tune dude. Would say it again in a heartbeat. That's where the gush ends though buddy. Next time Redcar might have to duke it out with you in the ring. If we can ever all get together on something (glares at Leaf from across the room). And Max I'm a huge fan dude, but the Czech took it for me on this title. Yours was a close second.
