There's no need to announce your intention to participate before turning in your Round 0 song. I figure maybe some of the participants want to have the element of surprise on their side?

It would be good to announce Nur Ein. Mass email to all members registered? Front page? There seems to be a surprising number of people that didn't know Nur Ein starts tomorrow.

Round 1 will start right after that with a new title and new challenge and as the weeks go by the bands will be whittled down.

I assume there is some sort of typo here from a year when only 21 people entered. If there are 25, shouldn't round 1 have 25 bands?

I dropped an e-mail into the songnews mailbox but there's been no movement on the front page. I mentioned it on Facebook and Twitter but the more we get the word out, the more potential entrants.

But dammit if the folks there are just too damn NICE. Time to get back into Song Fight form by mainlining me some Nur Ein!

Goal: Do something different. Make it past round 1. These may be read in either order as cause and effect, or merely as separate ideas.

Only 6 weeks. I predict that I will make it to round 1. After that, I can't say because I don't know if I'll get hit by a car, or have a heart attack.
