Berkeley Social Scene - I was eating a New York Strip medium rare as I listened to this...want to guess what I think of the song?
Listen, I love sushi, I love steak, I love slow cooked meat. This doesn't keep me from loving a song about Vegetarianism. In fact I'm pretty sure I'm the antagonist to Martyr on this front. Our band is only 40% Vegetarian.
So once again Spin you're judging a song on lyrics, with no mention of beat, melody, structure, or performance. Did we rock and shock you like Loudness? Did we bore you to tears like Belle and Sebastian?

in any case thanks for the review! At least (because you can't) you don't judge a song by the clothes the artists wear (I know people like this in San Francisco).
Phillipso, Older Brothers, Semolina Pilchards, Zipline , Thank Glennny for the Frisbee, The Odoriferous Valley, The Worldly Self Assurance, Berkeley Social Scene, Very Gentle Knives, Daddy Bop Swing Set, GUNS, The Kraken Lives, Cavedwellers

Lyrics are usually the most important part of a song to me...so yeah...if I dislike the lyrics most of the time it's not something I'd listen to & I don't need to go into more detail. I can however disagree with the message or story of a song & still vote for it if I find it's just really well done. (I did with King Arthur in the last fight)

My reviews suck...and I don't spend a hell of a lot of time on them. Because I don't spend a ton of time on them I usually just point out the first thing that pops into my head while listening or what I have the strongest opinion on. The music didn't blow me away, although it's not bad. I didn't care for the vocals, but I hated the topic. So that's the part I pointed out. The main reason I wouldn't listen to this again is the topic...fair or not...since that is the reason I felt that's the thing I should mention.
