My song isn't working. I'm having the same feeling again.
If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.

Working on a song, don't have a collaberator yet, any volunteers? We could really, really use one.

Ah, the collaboration round. I guess y'all figured out by now I'm unemployed and have a little free time, heh. Today was devoted to digging a tree out from under the edge of the rental (no, really. It's a bad thing in a poorly maintained 19th century structure... with essentially a dirt foundation.)

The count thus far: 4 bands, 3 countries, two states. Nur Ein!!!!!!

(Though why y'all'd want me with my track record is... well... heh.)

Awright! Things are gonna be getting interesting.

Seems everyone and their dog is going outta town this mother's day weekend - who will become the unexpected guest, hmmm? Ah the days of leaving one's socks lying around one's room, and finally rolling outta bed at dinnertime for some of mom's trademark hotdish, the one with the macaroni, hamburger, and cream of mushroom soup.

Enjoy yourselves Nur Einers. Meanwhile, we will be cracking our evil knuckles, composing an infernal collaboration for your listening pleasure...

Shipped three of the collabs today. So far, haven't seen any virtual effigy burnings, but the weekend's still young. And hey, I actually sang on one of 'em. [redacted] did much better writing and rhythming than anything I coulda done on my own, so cheers to [redacted]. Heh. ±46.5 hours left...

...and Logic 9 has been pissing me off, level-wise and whatnot, but Reason... it's the most fluid daw I've ever dealt with, it's... more Mac than the Mac app (Logic). The "successful" stuff I did was in Reason, this Ein. Shout out to propellerheads.se.

Here's a funny story: Since I've moved I have yet to set my computer up, and I've just been using my phone for online access. When the challenge was announced I sent out several requests to collaborate but got no replies from anybody. As it turns out, my super crappy, not-so-smart phone will let me log in, post to message boards, and read private messages, but not send private messages. When I try to send out a PM it just acts like I did without ever sending it. So for over 24 hours I thought everybody was just giving me the cold sholder, and I was sweating the fact we weren't going to have a collaborator because I'm extremely unpopular.

Well, it appears after a week of procrastination and mild writer's block, I have a song. Tomorrow, I will invite the reunited members of Student Band, late of Nur Ein IV to join me for what promises to be an epic recording session.

And you all thought I'd be getting JB, didn't you?

(He was my backup plan.)

I totally thought you were gonna have jb, but when I looked at Jon's list, i thout you might use student band since they'd be close and easy.

Two guesses who I got.

Actually, none of them are close anymore. They're all in college. It just kind of worked out. Just barely, in fact. We have a two-hour window tomorrow to do the recording.

Just write the new song in the same key and tempo so the tracks still fit!

AHHHHH!

Ok, so I was planning to get LoO to help me out. But due to us both being busy and timezone problems it looks like that is prbobaly going to fall through. Can anyone, I beg of you, collaborate with me? I am writing a rap song at 120bpm and I have raw groove but I need a collaborator!

AHHHHHH!
