Late, quick and hasty reviews. I did vote, though. Feel free to ask for clarification. There were some really good tunes here, Nobody and Mickey at the top, but WreckdoM clobbered. Hats off to all, and thanks for the comments.

Berkeley Social Scene Knowing Glen a little, I think I know where this is coming from and it makes it bittersweet. Nice tune, ballady. I like the arpeggiated synth, kinda 80's, I'd say.


boblazo I wish I could play bass lines with that feel, I tend to just drive full speed ahead. Bit of a 70's vibe here. I like the bridge but the vocals there are kind of goofy. This is a good track that could use more time spent on the lead vocal, esp. with that good voice.


Brown Word and the Big Whine Mix issues detract from the neat mood of this. I like the dreamier start but the gargle-gurgle part, coldish as it is, works nice against it. Keep'em coming, I enjoy your tracks. Work on vocal melodies more as your synth work is great already.


Cody Walker Jr. A lost Brian Johnson era AC/DC track for sure. Great ear for observation and cloning here. Next time take Bon Scott as inspiration but be more you. Fun.


Greggers Inc. Way moody and a bit sloppy, I like the darkness here despite the bad mix. Nice ideas for musical accents, and the Greg Lake vocal fits in nicely. Incomplete good idea.


G.U.N.S. This song goes all over the place. It's loose in an arrangment sense, which is neat. That solo is epic and totally manic,maybe too much kookiness. The synth touches I actually appreciate best, they are subtle and doing a lot of work, but not in your face.


Hoblit Nice to hear you back, Hobs. I expected this to tear down the road at 1000 MPH, but I like the kinda cocky, kinda goofy attitude it presents and the rockier end. Nice and full sounding and your vocals always sell your wares excellently.


The Kenzie Chickens Ha! That guitar riff at the start makes me think of that TV cop show theme: was it Simon and Simon? Never liked that show. But this is fun and I like it better than that. I'd like to jam in your band some time though I might be too scruffy.


Mickey Skylark What a turn from your last entry. This feels too genuine to not be true. Hope this venting helped. I like the blunt approach and the song has some great musical hooks. Sounds nice and open, mix-wise. Nice work.


Milton Pleasant, if a bit stiff. I like your voice but not the effect or phase issue going on there, at the start mostly. Some of the lyrics feel rushed and barely fit in. Some good ideas here that could benefit from more time and smootherizing.


Mr. Beany Bellows Balefully I like the concept here but would like to hear this finished off. If kept a-cappella, tighten up the doubling and work on the pitch.


Nobody, et al. Very, very nice. What a pleasant voice and fine playing. Guitar sounds great, harmonica right where it should be. Lyrics are good and delivery is excellent. Great job, sir. This should fair well, I hope, in the voting. I almost want to hear a bridge but imagine it would have to be perfect to fit without disrupting what's going on here.


Paco del Stinko In case anyone was actually wondering, this is inspired by the movie Son of Godzilla. They get frozen during a weather experiment at the end, awaiting the thaw in the future. Real Theremin, stereo amped.


sausage I love the arrangement and mood here. The left side guitar feels a bit too busy at times. NIce vocal work and I dig the airy, soaring at times vibe. Your tracks sound good but a bit wimpy, level wise. Regardless, good writing trumps production, no?


Sep Gee, talk about moody. I like the chorus, some overlapping vocals might've worked nicely. A gentle, sunny bridge would feel good in here, I think. Perhaps a positive perspective from a different narrator? Excellent instrument layering, need to work on vocal pitch. Vocal also wanders a lot.


Steve Durand Nice and sentimental, esp. after a lot of moody stuff. Imagine this song with a faster tempo and a banjo. Yee-haw! I'm not being fresh when I ask if you could play a tuba, if you had access. That would be nuts. Glad you're back in the game.


WreckdoM Just awesome. Best song of the fight, by far. This is SupeR WreckdoM. Scary, funny, thick, rubbery, greasy, from the slaughterhouse to the roadhouse. The bass riff is GOD. Love the lyrics, love this song, love you guys.

Hmmm then again Brown Word only got three and that was one of my favourites. I guess it happens. I just went to vote, finally, and was too late. Last time, voting was still open for quite a few days after the next song's deadline. Still pretty new here and getting used to it Ah well!
