I started out with a mashup of My War and Raining Blood about enhanced interrogation and torture, but its morphed into something drone-ier and more spoken word. It's a surefire winner!

The version I sent to Niveous is dangerously loud. Nobody listen to it until I mix a quieter version of it. Or, turn your headphones down all the way first.

You still have four and a half days to review that mix. Take all the time you need. Please.

Psh. I already did a "Raining Blood" and Black Flag combo tribute in Nur Eun VII. Check out the Oystercatcher entry, kick drum hits over the sound of "raining" pee into a toilet. What else you got?

A literal pissing contest! Bravo! Sounds like a future non-optional challenge (inclusion of a toilet) in a future Ein. And there's pop music precedence, even. "Telestar"s rocket sfx was a reversed toilet flush.

I've been working on a structure to meet the challenge but otherwise haven't even really started. And I have no time to work on it Friday or Saturday ... so why am I procrastinating right now? Damn it! get to work!

The Best Places In Town Are The Darkest. One of the few Nur Ein songs, along with the one I submitted this week, that actually hold their own outside of the studio as fun-to-play songs.

My song has nothing to do with pissing, its about torture and enhanced interrogation... A possible side effect of those things perhaps but one not addressed in the song.

eh. after all my excitement about getting my song done so quickly i've chickened out and completely changed it, put some extra time into the arrangement/performance/tweaked...forfeiting any records. resubmitted.
