I went to 6/8 but it took me a while to figure out that's what I did. Another G&G

I got a jam done earlier than usual today and am hoping to maybe crank out another one this afternoon to make up for one of the days I missed. We'll see. Anyway, I think this one turned out pretty good and has a good groove.

That is a good one, Sam.
I wrote a song about music business rejection. G&G but I hear this being rocked out a little more in my head... some day.

This is a folk/singersongwriter G&G song, but I like it very much. I wrote it to the GYAWS (private facebook songwriting group) prompt "Don't Look Back" but I changed it up a little. This is about my daughters who both moved to Iowa in the past year +

Here's a slower, more ambient, meditative piece, actually in 3/4 this time.

I like the slower pace and the glitchy sound to start. Definitely more meditative than usual.

I cranked out a quick bleep bloop before BSS.

We have company over for Wednesday evening dinner most weeks and I asked what to write a song about. Nancy said Philly Cheesesteak so here we are. A very quickly written and recorded full band (two guitars, bass, drums, vox) rock song.

I think I've love the ability to tell if I'm being really free with my creativity vs if I'm just totally dialing in, by this point.

I'll be glad to be done forcing myself to do this every day. Hopefully I will keep doing it though, if less frequently, so I get better at it and expand the palette of sounds and textures at my disposal.

Two more days and then I can rest... oh, wait. Fawm starts Saturday.

Here's another sandwich song.... based on a true story.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to a break. No FAWM for me I don't think.

An instrumental to end just because I don't want to sing and this kind of came out of some noodling today.

Awesome work! I'm going to make one more jam later today. I'd thought about trying to make up for missed days but I don't think I'm going to have the time or energy.

I like the glitchy sounds in this last one. (For lack of a better adjective.) And I like that you were changing up the song photos as you went along. This was a good Jamuary but I'm glad it's over.
edit to add: I have been enjoying your jams and listened to some of the most recent ones the other night, some for the second or third time. It's pretty cool to hear how you changed them up as you went along. I need to straighten out the thoughts on arrangement I had while listening.
