It's not a M:TG clone though. It's alot like Capcom vs SNK Card Fighters Clash. They were on the Neo Geo Pocket but I played them a couple years ago on Neo Geo Pocket emulator.
Same genre but simpler.

Working Man = meh.
2112 = half the list right there. I just couldn't figure out how to break it up. The Temples of Syrinx almost made the list.
Closer To The Heart = just too straight forward for me. As good a song as it is, I prefer their more challenging stuff.

The other notable omission is the bonobo (who's praises I believe, I have sung elsewhere in these boards somewhere) - the male of which, pound-for-pound, has the largest penis of all of the primates, and who spends most of his waking hours either copulating or masturbating. It is indeed the only animal apart from man and some of the toothed cetaceans which seems to copulate purely for recreational purposes (or perhaps recreational porpoises in the case of the toothed cetaceans).

You've inspired my Top 12 Mammals I wouldn't want to share a dorm room with OR battle alongside with in a cage match. Inclusive or.
12. a unicorn, because I would hate being constantly hounded by photographers, government officials and Legends-era Tom Cruise (or Tom Cruise at all for that matter).. But I should note that I'm uncertain as to how it'd fare in a cage match and that's why it's so low on the list... I'm also not sure if it's actually a mammal since unicorns are purportedly, not real.
11. a badger (European or otherwise), because they would make me look even less cool by comparison if I lived with them and they might even upstage me fighting in the cage match. Plus, people would constantly be singing "badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger badger mushroom mushroom..." and I'd feel like I was forced into playing the role of mushroom.
10. a platypus, because I don't room with unnecessarily venomous animals. I am a big fan of weird, but even I think there's such a thing as taking it too far. Plus, I expect it would suck in a fight.
9. a toy dog. I don't know why anybody lives with these little runts in the first place.. they yip and yap and I'd be too tempted to kick it across the room with great ease ... which is also why it would be a lousy fighter.
8. Tina Turner... again, we'd be surrounded by attention and she'd be getting all of it. I want to either have no obsessions forming around me or I want them to be about me to at least some extent. Also, she looks better in a short skirt than I do. That was another reason I didn't want to room with the unicorn, but I forgot to mention it up there. Also, if we got in a cage match, I think she'd want to announce it more than participate.
7. a watervole. I'm not a huge fan of voles to begin with and I don't even know if water voles are real. I read a book called Cold Comfort Farm when I was in highschool and it alluded to them but that book also featured a two legged cow named Feckless, so it might have just made up watervoles... I doubt they'd be good roomies because they don't seem like nice people and even if they were good fighters, I don't think they'd be real team players.
6. Cookie Monster would eat all the cookies ... all the time... and I need cookies. Plus, this forms a major weakness in the context of a cage match. Somebody drops some cookies and he's out for the count. Fuck the cookie monster. He doesn't even teach anything to kids. The Count would make an awesome roomie, fighter or lifelong mentor. The closest the cookie monster ever came to teaching me something was when he ate the letter W in a ravenous fit. I almost learned not to make a fool of myself by eating letters that day. You want an education? Watch Mr. Rogers.
5. Mr. Rogers would be the most boring roomie possible. He's all of the OCD sweater-hanging and sock-rolling of Felix Unger without any of the hilarious situational antics. He practically lives in that kingdom on the other side of the wall in his living room and he still has a totally boring life. The most interesting things he's ever done (visit factories) are made uninteresting by the frequency with which he does them. If I had a miniature train that could travel to an alternate universe kingdom in my living room, I'd be master and commander of that Kingdom in the blink of an eye, man! It'd be mine! Those stupid puppets would be doing my bidding 24-7 til they had to collapse... and even though they were shown sleeping occassionally, I don't know that puppets need to sleep. Plus, you might think they're powerful or magical or something so they could resist... but I remember an episode where that King's arm was broken or maybe it was one of his subjects, but the point is that they are familiar with both pain and autocracy and they will know a whole new era of each the day I find the portal to their kingdom. BUT I wouldn't want to share a regular old dorm room with Mr. Rogers ... I'd only live with him if he could grant me access to that Sweet Sweet Queen Saturday... mmmmmm
4. Toad (Mortimer Tonybee, not the frog)... Toad is a really lame mutant and holds one of those troublingly wishy washy marvel careers. I mean, he goes from being the kid people pick on because his superpower is jumping and being ugly... to being a toad for Magneto who doesn't even care about him... to building a theme park in one of Dr. Doom's castles(?!) .. and he's seeing a shrink practically the whole time, because his real mutant power is being depressed about how worthless his life is. This is made even worse by the fact that he's not that badoff superpower wise. I mean, he has really strong arms and legs and that's more superpower than I have.. He should get off his ass and do something, but the only thing he even gets slightly motivated about is some dastardly plan to make Scarlet Witch fall in love with him. Man, let go. He would be a really annoying roomie and you'd have to make room for all of the robots and shit he steals from Stranger et al and who knows when he'd skip into another bout of depression and weeping over the witch that never loved him... and nobody wants to fight with a friggin emo kid in a cage match.
3. Dorm rooms and cage match cages are just too small for whales.
2. a bonobo, for the characteristics Caravan Ray has already mentioned on multiple occassions.. I think its constant masturbation and humping would make it an annoying roomie and a terrible cage-fighter.
1. Mogosagatai... I think his constant masturabation and humping would make him an annoying roomie and a terrible cage-fighter.

My 12 Favorite Songs of 2005:
12. "Happy Life" by Jute Gyte
That song has my abolute favorite guitar riff of the year. It reminds me of a dirtier version of Pure's "Anna('s a Speedfreak)". Gritty and beautiful.
11. "Between the Rain & the Swallowing Earth" by King Arthur
King Arthur covered one of my songs!!! I felt so lucky when he did and the song came about amazing. Far far better than the original.
10. "All These Things That I've Done" by the Killers
Seeing them on Austin City Limits perform this song with a church choir was what sold it for me. "I've got soul but I'm not a soldier" was the catchiest line of the year.
9. "Ellis Island" by X-Tokyo-River-God
Usually I'm my harshest critic but I adore this song. J$ and Noah both did great jobs on the song and I actually produced something well. That doesn't happen all the time.
8. "These Words" by Natasha Bedingfield
Yes, it's catchy pop but I've got sentimental reasons.
7. "Halfjack" by the Dresden Dolls
Yes, this came out in 2004 but I didn't get on the bandwagon until 2005. This was the first Dresden Dolls song I had ever heard and I was blown away.
6. "Diamonds" by Kanye West
Whether it be the original version or the Sierra Leone remix with Jay-Z, this song had a great sample, well done lyrics and was altogether fun to listen to.
5. "Rocko...." by Frankie & the Falangists
It was as if J$ merged with Cedric of the Mars Volta. The lyrics were so odd but still so Johnny. Each section was wild and the choruses glued it together very well.
4. "Ghost of You" by My Chemical Romance
I tried to avoid MCR all year thanks to one of my overly obsessed friends but I had to admit that this was a beautiful song. They added a great video to it and I never tried of it.
3. "Charlotte Sometimes" by the Hell Yeahs
I love the Hell Yeahs and I was floored to hear this Cure cover. I like this even more than the original. More Hell Yeahs in 2006, please!
2. "Since You Were Gone" by kelly Clarkson
I have to admit this was a near perfect pop song. Kelly's voice was full of passion. It stole from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs in a good way and was a spectacular song all around. No wonder everyone from Butch Walker to Ted Leo covered it.
1. "Attack" by 30 Seconds To Mars
Jared Leto proves that there are some actors that can rock. This song is pure energy and power.
12 Honorable Mentions:
"Everlasting Love" by Arisa
"Hold Back the Day" by Devildriver
"Girl Anachronism" by The Dresden Dolls
"Homeostatic Coffee Pot" by Future Boy & J$
"Your Reflection" by the Fall on Deaf Ears
"Victory 24 Hours" by J$
"Golddigger" by Kanye West
"Stars" by the New Ending
"Coz I Miss My Gravel Pit" by Ed Home
"When It Snowed" by Deshead
"Future Sightings" by I am the World Trade Center
"Let It All Burn" by ADD

Some how I forgot "Criminal Charges" by High Density, which was released in December of 2004 but got played by me at least a million times in 2005. My wife can probably vouch for that. ("How can you listen to someone sing with a voice that high?"). Definitely one of my 12 faves. Or 13 as the case may be.Niveous wrote:My 12 Favorite Songs of 2005
