#9 Play all your instruments backwards or back to front (so right handed guitar in the left, for example). Or upside down. Or underwater. Or travelling in a car.

On my progress page, I posted a teaser clip of what I have been able to put down so far in the way of song structures. The audio isn't great, but I have done next to nothing in the mixdown department so far. Enjoy! (maybe.)

ROCK!

Thanks to all who have volunteered to do some voivce acting. You'll get PM's soon with some lines I'd like you to recite.

If there's still openings, and you can use a shredded throat's rendering of your lines (heh, the typo corrected there was the word "loins"), I'm willing too, Niv.

And believe it or not, I'm still working on 5 Nights.

Opt. Challenge #10: incorporate animal sounds musically into the song: samples; made with your mouth; or picking up a housepet and squeezing him/her to the beat (or is that a variant on farting into the mike?)

#11: Incorporate COFFEE into your song in some way.
#12. Use the SF Song Idea Generator (see link below) for a song.

Plat, the Cow Exchange stuff you've got together so far is wicked. Wish my songs were that good. If you want to see what I've got together so far, visit my songs page. They're not all good, and the singing on Any Wonder is poor poor poor, since it's in my higher range. I like the metalish one though.

Album length currently sits at 9 songs, 26:12 in total length. No lyrics, vocals, or drums yet.

I am going to sleep now.

ROCK!

Damnit, i thought I was going to be able to just crap out a bunch of loopwank and then make up stupid lyrics on top of it but now I've actually sketched out two songs which I'm liking and want to flesh out properly. And that's made me take an interest in actually, you know, not sucking.

Thanks JR; your drums are sounding good too. And Glenn's way ahead of me. Man, quality is tough. :) Oh well, sounds like we're all well on our way.

My sample rate is all screwy and won't let me record. Stueym's set up doesn't have a monitor for some reason. Stueym won't be back till tomorrow to fix this madness. I don't think I have anymore music in me. :( (Five day slump is totally setting in).

Incase you are in this similar state, I'm going to give you a reason for why you should want to finish.

I will mail you a bag of either Wonka Chewy Runts or Wonka Apple-Coated-Watermelon & Lemonade-Coated-Wild-Cherry Nerds. But only if I have 35 minutes of music that you made this past week by Friday 11:59pm ET. (More time to get it online, and for me to listen through it and whatnot).

Yeah! AAW WTF!

I do hope people are taking my cowbell challenge to heart. I'd be disappointed if the rawk had no bell. And not just straight quarter notes. I'm talking INNOVATION, folks!

It's Tuesday night. Yesterday I recorded four songs, three of which I finished, and I had already written them all. Today, I finished four songs, and I had to write three of them today. So the speed is still going, but my creativity is starting to be drained. Especially when I realized I only have 21 and a half minutes of finished material, and no more material started. I could always do a long rap. Nothing wrong with Hammerhead.

I'm planning an 8-minute instrumental. Listeners' patience be damned.

Wow! I'm totally going to do something like that! Maybe in the vein of my old "Clouds were Touching the Ground" intro!

I have reached my 35 minute minimum as far as the music portion is concerned.

12 songs. 35:29 in length. I will still try for 45 minutes if I can help it, but I probably need to concentrate on just finishing my minimum first. None of the songs have lyrics or vocals yet, but I intend to work on those tomorrow.

Justin came over today and supplied drums for Songs 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, and the <a href="http://glenncase.com/music/glenncase/aa ... >teaser mp3 reflects this. He did mention that he may re-do the drums for Song 5. We'll see what happens.

At any rate, I need sleep. I hope to get rested up nicely so I can really tackle my lyric/vocal duties tomorrow. Then I might be able to just concentrate on mixing and potentially reaching the 45 minute mark on Thursday.

Sorry to hear that you are out, Bjam. :(

But, I will do my best to earn some CANDY! :)

CANNNNNNNNNDY.

ok. bed.

ROCK!

I have about 5 minutes of recorded music (one mostly-finished song and one song which refuses to gel) and 10 minutes of scrap material. Suck.

Don't worry! This is an album-a-week. You don't need a lot of great material. If you're behind and there's only two days left, just write a generic metal song (sorry blue, but it's just sooo easy to write those!). Good luck with getting some stuff together. I might be getting Jeff Travis Henderson over to my place to help me with some writing. That man is a genius as far as I'm concerned.
