It's in there. Something about rhyming with "took out my retainer, put it in my purse." And something about donkeys.
That would be the DK homage. Right after the Burl Ives tribute. It's really all about the anguish of menorrhagia through use of alliteration and homily.

And donkeys.
It's called driving a round peg in a square hole fellas. Convince me you didn't have this song done a long time ago.

Me thinks thou doth protest too much on this one point of an otherwise positive review. I liked the song better before you tried to convince me there was a refence to the title in there.

Now I just think you're trying to convince everyone else this song has something to do with the title. Maybe you better go for the friend flood instead.

5900-n5: Now you guys know why I don't sing!!
Another song about the complete breakdown in functionality. 6/10

Anchors: Usually a big fan of the Anchors, no exception here, the intro (in it's entirity) is way cool, this is just so 'Blue Aeroplanes' I'd like the backing track to really pump up into the vocal pauses, just to add that little extra definition. 6/10

BeWells: Beautiful song, dreamy and sad, although it proves authenticity that string slide early on is a tad annoying and distracts from the beauty of this track... (God how nit-picky can I get!!) 7/10

Billy's Little Trip: Okay good punky effort, does all the right things in the right places one small nit-pick here is I'd love the vocals to be a touch harsher and a touch more up front, like I said this has all the right elements, it just needs to sound.... fuller! 7/10

Caravan Ray: This is what I mean, listen to this on headphones or you're gonna lose the depth in this track, this is pure 3D listening, GREAT! 8/10

Carpetburn: Genuine 100% indie kids, voice sounds a touch 'Gedge-ish' just bring the instrumentation up add an extra fuzzy geetar and you've got an instant present for the wedding... you know what I mean! :D 8/10

C Hack: Sorry dude, this starts like one of those "it's gonna build" songs, but it doesnt, does it! nice idea. 5/10

Closest Dark Vepun Ind: Lyrically this is very interesting, musically I like the sub-latin jazz feel, but the whole thing sounds a bit... empty! lacking in a full sound, good effort though 6/10

Dangerous Croutons: Now this is TOO full of sound!, strip this down a bit you mad croutons you! (have a look at your levels for all those wonderful pads) 6/10

Darkest Daves: Haven't heard these dark dave chaps for a while (voted for them three weeks on the trot a while back), this is very good, very similar to Caravan Ray's track... but his is better. 7/10

DJ BIG DIK: Best effort from you (yes you) I've heard so far! between a 6 and a 7 /10

DooRite 'n' Rankenstein: ICP meets Rocky Horror nothing new here but what's here is well done 6/10

Eddie Lance: Very interesting take on the title, this one has me beat. 6/10

Jeremy Bornstein: He he this is quite funny, in an I like it kind of way, I like the way-stretched-arrgh! vox 7/10 for novelty factor

Flvxxxxvm Flovorumnx: It's like two members of 'The Sweet' forgot to turn up for rehersals and the others just thought "fuck it, let's do that song the other two don't like" 7/10 for the same reason as above

The Hell Yeahs: EIGHT OUT OF TEN!

Dan oh! for Five oh!: This is the track I was expecting many people to come up with, quite full of clichés but it a cool way. 7/10

Klownhole: YEAH! bulldogs with pants! this isn't epic-ly long like some of your other entries and benefits from that rather a lot, a bit repetative but rock-tastic nonetheless. 7/10

Masterhyde: Your the guy that sounds like warren g! cool as fuck! great track vocals are great dude! 8/10

MC Eric B: Like the lyrics a lot, don't enjoy the track that much not enough variation, vocals are a bit annoying 6/10

Melvin: More blinky than weezery for a change, predictably good! 7/10

Mico Saudad: Quite annoying camp-fire fayre! not without irritating charm (I personally fight to dislike this genre then get annoyed that my foot starts tapping). 6/10

Phil's first tambourine: Muppet show rehersals 5/10

PiGPEN: Never seems to get where it wants to go, just far to much of the same thing... sorry! 5/10

Ross Durand: This has a Devil went down to Georgia feel to it, but just like Caravan Ray's entry this is georgeous through decent headphones, just a perfect track Ross! 8/10

Saint Cale: Beautiful voice, emotive lyrics, ...gosh this is good! (stop typing and listen dammit!)................... 8/10

Shael Riley: the whispery effect on the vocal is quite annoying and tends to distract from what is essentially a pretty good track, nice synthy uptempo feel 7/10

Shoe Horn TC: Quite Beatlesque without the hook, this is nice, but nothing's driving me on through the track, maybe bring up the kick drum, this is annoying me as to why I'm not enjoying it as much as I should. 6/10

Shotpounder: Just add copious amounts of feedback and fuzz for instant electric eels! 6/10

Signboy: Muppet show rehersals (part II) 5/10

Superteen: Everythings mixed rather low, but what I can hear sounds like the frogs! 5/10

Hell Yeahs, Caravan Ray, Carpetburn, Ross Durand, Masterhyde or Saint Cale

Who is your voice-guy? He sounds similar to a voice that has narrated many video games including the one I mentioned.

I do like the story, I'm just trying to quiet down the neurons in my head that are firing when it hears that voice.
His name is Charlie Bennett. I found him on the internet. Not sure if he's done video game work but that would be cool if he's the same guy.

WTF is a "voice guy"? Where do I get one? I want one. I have nothing for him to do, I just want to tell people I have a "voice guy". It's got to impress the chicks - ...yeah, I'll buy you a drink, as soon as my "voice guy" gets here - just give him your order..."

That song was conceived, played/recorded in one sitting on the Saturday night preceding when the song was due. Klownhole is not a persistent creative effort. The songs are the by-product of some buddies getting together to drink on the occasional Saturday night. It's a live drunken collaboration. Who the fuck are you that we should feel compelled to prove anything to you?

So I looked up the credits for that game and the guy listed is...
Alex Bennett.

coincidence? it might be the same guy (pseudonym) or his brother or something... you're voice guy might be a cult star among the ueber dork crowd.

So I just listened to the whole fight while working, (so I didn't review) but I loves the song by Darkest Daves so he got my vote. That song is great! I'll try to review or something later, if I get the chance.

Jesus Christ, go back and read the WHOLE fucking review please. It was positive throughout. I loved the song and thought about voting for it until now. I just didn't catch the reference to the titlle and my curiosity was aroused by the fact that they kept harping on that one fucking point.

Guess I'll have to I'll to to find that application for my membership to the "Sonfighter Inside Information Club".

he does clearly sing "could have been worse" or something - along with a long rhyming line leading into it.

don't go blaming others for your lack of attention to detail.

Especially because there wasn't any singing in this one. But that announcer guy has a cool voice. It was an interesting piece. Pursy, lmao!

Ok. This has all been good fun. But now it's blown out of proportion. I loved Dan-O's review. It was excellent. I responded to his question about the lyrics trying to point him to where the song title was mentioned or at least implied. THen the person who actually did the singing clarified further. I believe, that our intent was to be a helpful member of the community. Dan-O misunderstood our intent, and that's cool. But deserved a response. And in true Klownhole fashion, I responded with aggression. Because that's what I do. And Dan-O seemed to call into question our ability to spontaneously rock. And in true Blue fashion, he also attempted to help clear up the misunderstanding. Because he's a helper.

Why can't this just be about the rock? That's why we do this. And all this bickering is making baby Jesus cry.
