So there will be a live fight, then? Excellent.

god damn it people. i'd have a much better chance of getting to the east coast if school didn't begin immediately following the concerts.
flying from spokane (a two hour drive): $530
flying from seattle (a five hour drive): $380
flying from boise (a five hour drive): $480
leaving saturday instead of sunday: $150-200 cheaper
road tripping: who knows, but i can't anyway because i have school immediately afterward because the date is the same weekend as it was last year, the day before school begins at the university of idaho's fall semester.
why are flights to atlanta from this side of the country so underserved? isn't atlanta sposeda be a pretty big city? of course it isn't jb's fault that my school, retardedly, begins the week before labor day, nor that i live two hours from spokane and five hours from boise or seattle, or that discount airlines don't have convenient routes for this guy, or that i don't have $500 to drop, ETC., but considering how many dollars and how much travel time it's not looking favorable for me to attend. oh, well.

Okay, I'm officially in having just purchased my ticket. Like it or not, here I come!

I really thought I could make it this time, but unfortunately I will not be attending. I was in the midst of making plans to come, but had to make an emergency trip home to North Carolina. Used up the vacation time (and the money) I would have used for this. So now I am in the midst of not making plans to come. Again. As always.

That sucks. I didn't know you might come and now I know you could have but you won't be. Damn.
Hope the emergency wasn't terrible.

Yeah, that would have been nice if you could make it.
I'm still planning on going anyone want to split a room or let me crash on their floor? I'm really easy going as a house guest, and will be pretty much busy playing drums the whole time.

Possibly. I've got to wait two more pay periods before I can make purchases. (middle of June) I'm definitely coming but I've got to wait before *I* can make reservations anywhere. I was probably gonna slum it out at The Clairmont if I didn't bunk with someone somewhere better.

I'm in the same boat. Except, I won't be playing drums.

I am not sure that I am going to be able to go this year, but I am certainly going to try.
Rachael will probably NOT go this year, as hot weather and Rachael do not get along.
The thought of having an Austin roommate reunion could be cool. Will Ken, Hoblit, and Glenn share a room again? Stay tuned!
ROCK!

Oh, that would be SO COOL! But we gotta stay IN TOWN (like last time too), that is my only stipulation. I have every intention of going to all of my favorite places using public transportation and my feet.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to actually perform or just attend.
Either way, I feel the need to mention that the last time I danced to the strains of rock and/or roll, people seriously thought I was retarded.

Okay, I know JB said don't get a hotel downtown, but I just booked a hotel downtown and figured I would let you guys in on the deal. Through QuikBook.com, you can get a double room with two beds for $63 a night at the Days Inn. Here's a link:
http://www.quikbook.com/getprofile.asp?Code=2851
No prepayment, cancel pretty much right up to the check-in date. Hotel doesn't have great reviews, but it's 3 blocks from the aquarium and a block from Centennial Park, subway is close by. Unless I hear something terrible from Hoblit and/or JB about the area and/or this specific hotel, I'm probably going to stay there.
P.S. This hotel was over $100 on Expedia and around $90 on the Days Inn website.

I still need to figure out how I'm gonna get out there. I need to talk to my sister, who works for American Airlines, and find out if I am going to get to take advantage of her flight benefits by then. All I'll have to pay is tax on the ticket, and I'm there!
I just have to figure out the money situation, as I'll have to take a few days off work, and still manage to pay rent. Also rooming with folks will be important.

If this is not a joke, this might be just the extra incentive that Rachael and I needed to get off our duffs and buy tickets to Atlanta.

I bought the ticket, I am splitting a hotel room with my faux-bro. I get in to Atlanta on Thursday night, and I leave Sunday night. Seriously.

If 15-16 Puzzle is attending, that settles it. I HAVE to be there. Rachael is still a question mark, but I am going to buy tickets asap.

I might not be coming as my life is yet again in a stupid state of potential flux (cf my wishy-washiness two years ago). Hooray!
I will know more in a couple weeks.

Without making me re-read this entire thread, has any particular venue been announced? JB's house?
