Life permitting I really want to do this. It looks like a lot of fun. If there are no more spots and somebody else wants in, I can opt out. Finals are coming... but i did just finally get my recording stuff up here. And soon i will be home too and i can use all my real instruments.

How many slots are still open?

I assume that in the end we'll have to come up with a rank ordering, but how we get there is up to us. I'm sure it won't be as simple as "which songs I like best," for whatever that's worth.

How much weight should be put on non-optional challenges? Does a clever interpretation in a lousy song beat an incredible song that addresses the challenge in a stupid way (or not at all)? This is a difficult issue that I intend to resolve with dice.

That's enough out of you, Caravan Ray - Nur Ein is no place for you and your sexual innuendo-based tomfoolery. Go back under the rock you crawled out from, and take your vile single-entendres with you.

But yes, I am very much looking forward to Round II. And the Dirty Hearts are primed to fire. Bring it on A.S.A.P. I say.

There is no such thing as an ex-Dirty Heart Rabid. Dirty Heart-dom is an eternal state - not unlike herpes. But you are correct, that will all be forgotten on the field of battle - your theramin will not save you.

Damn Niv, I'm sorry I missed this. I must have past by this thread a hundred times, but had my mind on other things.
If anyone drops out for any unexpected reason, I'd be happy to be a backup.
Good luck to everyone.

Why the 25 limit Niv? If you recall last year - a lot of the early expulsions were only because people didn't submit songs. From recent Songfighting experience - I'd guess that the above two charachters could at least be counted on to deliver songs.

Any chance on stretching the numbers - and maybe having a few extra expulsions in the first few rounds?

Treat them like alternates on a jury.

If someone doesn't submit in the 1st round their slot would be filled by Sp00n then by BLT?

Just a thought, besides maybe we'll get a BLT and Sp00n song out of it.

The Jury has discussed.

Starting this friday! We will have Round Zero of the Nur Ein. It's an open round where only the top 25 survive to the big show.

I absolutely cannot record a song next week, so I'm out in round zero? Because some people didn't look at this thread in time?
