hi folks,
I am busy with my alter ego atm. I apologize to everyone for not getting this done. Your money should have already been refunded - if it hasn't, drop me a line.
Spud has agreed to carry this forward. I just didn't feel comfortable forwarding everyone's money without asking.
Thanks,
Rekinding the Compilation

Hey all, I told Blue I would take this on. However, I need a current head count.
Please post your intent to go forward, and how much time you were in for.
Thanks.

I am in for two songs:
Silent Pipe
Big Disco
The two songs total less than six minutes, and they're in the SF archive. I can email copies if necessary. Last I heard, Octothorpe was in need of some time, so whatever the difference is from my six-minute total can be applied to that.
Thanks for getting this started, Blue, and thanks to Spud for keeping it moving. Hurrah!

I put my "Violet Wants it Her Way," as it is found on the Songfight Archive, and I donated the rest of my time to Johnny Cashpoint.

I'd still like to be a part of this, if there is any way possible.

I was aiming for two songs but I think I gave one to Ken.
I'll get the Lavender Splendor remix going...

Bummer, Blue.
Spud, count me in still, with:
Cow Exchange: Tri-State Area
Historyman (donated): Chainsaw
And the remaining few seconds can be donated to any good cause that happens your way. Just show me how to stuff you with money, and let me know if you need the files uploaded once more.

I was in (twice) with two songs of mine and time donated to Hoblit and Glenn Case. I would still like to participate, so I'll keep an eye on this thread for further instructions.
Blue- wishin' you well, whatever's goin on
Spud- cool of you to take over- Thanks!

I'm still in with my 2-minute song, "Sunny Again."
I gave 2 minutes roughly to Starfinger for "More Than Soup"
And 2 minutes roughly to Abom for something, but I don't know that he responded so I guess that's still available.
Sober on the comp would be a good thing.

Making notes, taking it in.
Needless to say, there may be a few changes in procedure, as the management has changed
Will post something more official shortly. In the meanwhile, keep posting your current status and interest.

The song I have (through Eddie's donation) is Bullseye Girl from Abbott Presley.
I have the session files to this still, and can make a better version than there is on songfight if need be.
ROCK!

Still interested. I believe my songs were "Can't Take Our Love Away" and "Say the Word." I think that gave me 10 seconds to spare, IIRC.

My two are:
Cold Sweat 2.36
Twelve Monkeys (Kapitano + Kamakura) 2.58.
That's a total of 5.34.
Please give the remaining time to Sober if he wants it, or to whoever you want if he doesn't.
If you want any help just shout.

You know, this just makes me think that how nice it would be if bands who sell their own CDs at shows made deals with other bands they like to drop a few tracks on the end of the CDs, so as to cross-promote to people that might like the other bands...

that'd be ok to do as a promotional thing... but if someones trying to sell an "album" or has an artistic vision..that'd get kinda awkward. I've always liked the idea of selling everyone's cd's from a booth that looked the same from band to band...like an independent cd store on wheels... no one get's any profit except from the cd's THEY sell from their booth... so.... you could sell 5000 discs and yet make no money, yet have a ton of fans.... whoa...that' d be a trip.
Ok, maybe that's going a little far...I dunno...
