Talk about an oversight on my part. My bad. I shall try to consider something that is rocking enough for you.

Never mind. Got it.

Sven Mullet - Revolution.

I...guess I can try that one. I just, I dunno, I've been trying to get back to my abstract/electronic roots and I can't really hear that song like that. Plus, you assigned all my favorite Beatles songs to other people. But I'll give it a shot.

Also, I'd have given Sven Helter Skelter.

Great list Glenn. Help! will be fun (I've perfomed this a lot it turns out)

I would have Said Klownhole for "Helter Skelter" - or maybe "I Want You (She's so Heavy)"

Oh and Paco - Everybody's got something to hide (except for me and my monkey)"

Sure, Klownhole would be better for that, but I thought we were choosing songs for bands, not bands for songs...

I always thought I was more of a 'Bluejay Way' kinda guy, personally.

So I have recorded the music for my cover, a distorted organ thing that sounds quite cool, but if one of the SF community with a real drum kit had some time over the next couple of days to do their best Ringo impersonation, it would be very much appreciated and would undoubtedly improve the song. You don't have to be a virtuoso - Ringo wasn't - frankly the simpler the better, just needs a nice pop feel to set off the words.

I have a rough instrumental mix recorded to a clicktrack on line, so if anybody wants to help me out it would be fantastic. Let me know here or by PM and I'll send you a link. If not I'll go back to the drum machine. Oh yeah, my cover's only just two minutes long so hopefully it won't eat into your free time too much.

I just got back from a holiday and found this.

That is probably the perfect suggestion for me. Nice work Glenn! Hope to find the time to have a crack

Reciprocally - I would suggest:

did the vocals for mine, also some of the rhythm, and a very spare skeleton of music but right now i don't have a reasonable midi interface and i hate drawing notes out with the mouse

i ordered a 4x4 m-audio box the other day so hopefully that'll work better than this motu piece of shit

I'm definitely considering this, but I have no access to the Buffalo Bill song that Glenn suggested for me. Maybe I'll just make up my own mind and play a song I know.

You know, maybe now's the time to make a confession which might explain a lot - I have never knowingly heard 'Revolver'. While I know most of its songs by cultural osmosis, this one, nope ... but

"Lennon designated this song his "least favorite Beatles song" in a 1973 interview, and later said it was the song he most regretted writing."

sounds good enough for me! If someone furnishes me with an mp3, I'll do it!

I suppose I could go out and buy the record, but that cover's always been a bit too hippy for me to be seen out with
Funny - I seem to recall that I remember reading somewhere Lennon saying that was his favourite song. I suppose I was disremembering. Alcohol does that. It is one of my favourite Beatles songs, anyway.
