Jack, your Simpsonesque avatar reminds me of the cartoon I did of you for the High and Dry poster!
i just got back from visiting my friends chris and courtney, who some of you may have met at Songfight Live here (Chris played guitar for brody and was the visionary behind "pickles and ice cream"). anyways, chris is a big skateboarder and last year got me a board for christmas. as an extra special added jimmies-on-top plus, his wife, a very good artist, painted a special request from me for the bottom of my deck.

i got it back today. :)

Very cool Jack. I suggest no rails or curb grinds. That is great artwork.

G'damn! I knew this "tips" idea would eventually pay off.

Edit: Spud is right, though... Windows should ship with something like this already enabled. Now I have to determine how to "print" that listing to a .txt file.

So, I think I broke my explorer with this little widget -- Now when I double click on a directory, the directory opens in the cmd prompt, rather than simply opening. Grrr. Any of you PC whiz-bangs know how to fix this rather annoying little buggeroo? Helph! Helph!

Edit -- oh never mind -- the fix is at the end of that same article. Oooooh! Editing the registry! Scaaaaawwwwwy!

Go back to the kb page and read the part about the registry. Same thing happened to me.
Specifically:
1. Start Registry Editor.
2. Locate the Default value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell
3. Click Modify on the Edit menu.
4. In the Value data box, type:
none
5. Click OK.
6. Quit Registry Editor.
[Edit] While I was constructing this beautiful post, you figured it out yourself!

Heh, yes, I've found that this is often what happens with computer problems. If helpdesks the world over just didn't answer the phone, the world would quickly learn to solve their own damn computer issues!

Anyhoo, the regedit worked. Magical!

All this, and smart too. :D
