A great serious non-sweetly yet non-alcoholic and non-cafeinated drink is pseudo-precolumbian-style hot cocoa:
Hot water +
unsweetened cocoa powder +
chili powder (essential)
+
vanilla +
grated cinnamon (flavour).
No milk, no sugar.
Add
red wine to get drunk!
(Some background
here.)

Unsweetened cocoa? The aromatics would be awesome from your mix and "might" allow me to live without the sweet. But I am a sweetaholic.
On another note. I made my preserve muffins (from the previous page) this morning and I want to re-emphasize the importance of not pushing the preserves down too deep. I even said push them in very little, but I didn't follow my own advise on a few. What happens is when you take them out of the muffin tins, the preserves fall out the bottom, lol.
BUT, this gave me a good idea. Basically when the preserves fall out, you are left with a delicious semi hallow muffin with a fruity baked top and a small hole in the bottom, about the size of a dime. So I mixed up some cream cheese with the preserve, in this case strawberry, put the cream cheese mix in a plastic baggy and pipped it into the empty muffins. OMFG! They are good.

I'm sure it's
permitted to add sugar or whatever you fancy.
However the true hot & bitter kick is in a niche of its own. It's still a little sweet actually due to the ingredients. Might go well with a hearty sort of muffin... spinach and sardine muffin?

I have just discovered how asians stay thin.
They eat with chopsticks.
I just got a take-out from a noodle house, and on my way out, decided to grab a pair of chopsticks. What the hell, I thought. Might as well be authentic, right? I haven't used chopsticks since I was like 14, and I knew how to use them back then. Apparently, I have forgotten. Thank google there's about a million links on 'how to use chopsticks'. I followed the directions to the letter. The tips wouldn't meet up. I could pick small bits of food up with them, but that's it. After eating about 1/20th of what was a small portion to begin with, my hand was cramping up. FUCK IT I'm getting a fork. I realized when I returned with a fork, though, that I wasn't really very hungry any more.
The Chopstick Diet?

I eat with chopsticks all the time and never go hungry. When eating rice, hold them in a triangle with the tips just barely separated and then use it like a shovel, sort of. For noodles and chunky foods it's just a matter of scooping up as much as you can while pinching them together in one single graceful (perhaps even "swan-like") motion.

I just found that frustration and hand-cramping is not an appealing aesthetic while eating...

You need more grip strength. Try masturbating more.

Dude, if I did that any more than I already do, I'd probably injure myself.

I got this from a guy I know on another site. I haven't tried it yet, but it is so cool, I thought I'd share. I'll try it soon.
This is America. The land of gluttony fueled heart attacks. Not only do we have plenty of food here... but we invent food! And it is in the Constitution that everything is better when wrapped with bacon. Here's the proof.
It's called the Bacon Explosion. Saw this and knew instantly that I needed to reproduce this beautiful piece of pig-based heaven.
Start with weaving the bacon
Spice the bacon
Layer of Italian Sausage (I used sweet sausage)
Layer of cheese and BBQ sauce
More crispy delicious bacon!
Roll that lil piggy up
Toss on some more spices and throw it on the grill or smoker (which ever you have and want to use)
Slather on a thin layer of BBQ glaze
Caution to all. You will feel a slight slowing down of the heart, don't worry if you are manly enough it will process properly and continue to function. If you die then that's just natural selection at work. The reward is greater than the risk.

An alternative would be to melt down some lard, then inject it directly into your jugular vein.

Without any pretense:
Tonight, I made a standard meat and potatoes meal. A pork chop sprinkled with garlic powder and black pepper, fried at low heat, mashed potatoes whipped with sour cream and butter, and broccoli&cauliflower steamed and sprinkled with grated cheddar. This was, without a doubt, the best dinner I've had in weeks. If I'd had an apple in the house, I'd have made some applesauce, but I didn't. I didn't miss it either.
I don't think there's any vitamins in potatoes, so I doubt it's a deficiency thing, but I have been *craving* mashed potatoes for a few days. What's up with that?

Well, there you go. I must be deficient in Vitamin A and C, iron and calcium? I almost didn't care about the rest of the meal, the mashed potatoes were transcendental.

Done.
Mark, I get that way too. Certain weather triggers things for me. But I love a good fried chicken, mashed potatoes dinner. I've recently discovered the greatness of Panko Bread Crumbs (Chinese bread crumbs).

What do you use those for? Like Shake'n'Bake?
