Haven't we done this before?

Brandy Sugarbush. I wish I was lying. Sigh.

That's a GREAT porn star name, just not for a male porn star.

He'd have to change it to Rabid Sugardick.
...great band name, by the way!

If you had several addresses/pets, I guess you just pick the best one.

Cosmo Bonarden has potential. Puffy Palmcroft, not so much.

Sounds like a private di... detective.

@ Puffy Palmcroft: The alternate (original?) rules IIRC were "The first street you lived on" or something to that effect.

Oh, then I could be Frisky O'Dell, which isn't too bad. Mr. Jiggs Bay First doesn't really roll off the tongue, though.

We got a kitten when I was a teenager and I named it Fellatio. The name stuck until the cat got out and my mother was calling off our back porch, "Fell-a-ti-o! Come here, Fellatio!," in a sing-song cat calling voice. Needless to say, I was in pain from laughter. One of the neighbors must've taken her aside because within a few days that cat was renamed Boots or something equally mundane. I got a couple looks after that, but never an explanation.

Name your band after a past fight title. I can't believe nobody's thought of that, considering this is the Song Fight forums and all. It doesn't even have to be a fight you were in.

Good stinking, Jeff. I'll pick 5 that catch my eye to get this tanker rolling.

1. Lizard Wizard
2. Motor Psycho << I like this one for me
3. Onomatopoeia
4. Systematic Panic
5. Sincerity Machine

I like the version where you use your mother's maiden name for the last name and then I'd be Jellybean Lighthill which sounds like it could've been an old blues musician.

Sometimes people (me) take their band name out of other song's lyrics.

Or song lyrics that would not stop repeating over and over in their heads until they curled up in a corner and cried for twenty minutes because ingrid michaelson would not leave me alone with "the sky looks piiissed, the sky looks piiissed, the sky looks piiissed"

Good Lord... I didn't mean to steer the thread this hard to the left.

Reist, you'd leave out 'place'...but that negates the point anyway, Flopsy is not necessarily a good in a band name. (And right out for anything in porn.)

For the record mine would be "Ginger Lancer" ... that last 'r' in Lancer almost (ALMOST) ruins it. (I'm not a red head either)

Wow. This has been an extraordinary thread. Brandy Sugarbush= Instant Classic.

I agree with the idea of using Race Horse Names. I have often looked at the Sports page of the newpsaper, seen a horse name and thought, what a great band name.
