Ujn (of Cock) and I are in as "Chthonic Cock" with the new wave track that spawned the monkey lyrics... without the monkeys, though.
I'm eager to hear the monkeys. Oh, am I eager to hear the monkeys.

I'm in with a different name and a change of pace for me. It's just a simple lullaby. You know, for kids.

Well I've missed the deadline but when and if I happen to finish, I'll post it so people can at least hear it.

It's only 6:45am here in Cali. You have over 3 hours. Rone can write, record and spam the internet with an entire album in that amount of time.jeff robertson wrote:Well I've missed the deadline but when and if I happen to finish, I'll post it so people can at least hear it.

Re: Come Down where the Pre-Fight is
I have to apologise in advance as I submitted 2 songs this week. In my defence I am massively procrasinating from writing my dissertation. Also in an interesting twist I spent a lot of time on one, loads of layers and things, the other was written and recorded in a couple of hours. I am keen to find out which one people prefer as I'm pretty suspicious that the longer I spend on a song the worse it gets. And for those who can't immediately recognise my dated synths and droning vocal technique the second is filed under 'Mortimer the Tortoise'. Enjoy.

I'm a tad late (sorry!) but in. My excuse is that I could only start recording three hours before the deadline.

Quimby and I submitted a collab. If this collaboration was a sangwich, it would be bacon, lettuce and fried green tomatoes on pumpernickel.

Re: Come Down where the Pre-Fight is
I love being in Australia... I freaked out for a bit when I realised it was Monday, then spent a bit of time doing vocals and mixing. Had a major issue exporting my file as an mp3, and submitted at 8 in the evening.
...and then?
... the internet told me it was still Sunday for you guys

Being a day late dollar short kind of guy, you don't know how many times I would have loved that scenario.adam b wrote:I love being in Australia... Re: Come Down where the Pre-Fight is
Unfortunately, I didn't get mine submitted.
I wrote what I think is a fine song, but for whatever reason the instruments just weren't coming along for me at all. What I ended up with was awful and doesn't even meet my normally low standards.
On top of that, things got so busy that I didn't even get to review all of the "love me" entries! Jeez, what a maroon I am.
Maybe I'll do better this week!

Re: Come Down where the Pre-Fight is
I usually have the opposite problem. This week I had a fine instrumental thing going, but didn't know where to take it... so I gave up and played video games all day Sunday with a defeatist look on my face.bambamoozle wrote:I wrote what I think is a fine song, but for whatever reason the instruments just weren't coming along for me at all. If I had a dollar for every one of my songs j$ has called a 90s pastiche, I'd have $1 for every song I've written.
