Jack white is mad at his ex for wanting to put their kids in the same school as Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys. Jack thinks it's just one more way for Dan to try to invade his world. What a douche!
Custody battles are rough, anyway you look at it. http://www.spin.com/articles/jack-white ... t=article8
“My concern with Auerbach is because I don't want the kids involved in any of that crap," he writes. "You aren’t thinking ahead. That’s a possible twelve fucking years I'm going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that asshole with other people trying to lump us in together. He gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world.”
Sitting in kid's chairs, lol. He should go to the parent teacher meeting on one of these....

We're live-streaming Amanda Palmer and the Grand Theft Orchestra this Friday at 8:30, so if you're bored, tune in to Lincoln Center Out of Doors. I can't watch because I'll be ... somewhere But I'll post the video capture within a couple weeks (artist approvals are taking longer than we had hoped).

I'll be busy too. So, I'll be very happy to see the video capture. Amanda Palmer puts on a good show and I enjoy the latest album.

Hey Niv, your boys might just become metal heads. Let's hope, anyway.
I was reading this SPIN article about a these 3 Brooklyn kids that have a heavy metal band. They said their dad always took them to wrestling events and the love of metal grew from that. I know you are a wrestling fan, so that means your boys are too. Now they're the next big thing. Unlocking The Truth. The interview made me laugh. http://www.spin.com/articles/unlocking- ... rstory_cta
I'm diggin' these little rockers! It's great to see a generation of "real" rock coming up.
“Though he was an engineer at heart, my father’s achievements in technology grew out of a love of music and the arts,” said Tom Dolby, son, filmmaker and novelist. “He brought his appreciation of the artistic process to all of his work in film and audio recording.”

Amongst all of the Nirvana reissue songs and hall of fame talk, I saw this Kurt Cobain animated piece and I really like it.
Chad smith, the drummer for the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has been told for years that he looks like Will Ferrell, and Ferrell being asked for years if he's the drummer for RHCP, they finally crossed paths on twitter. Chad Smith finally had enough and challenged Ferrell to a drum-off. He said he would if 300k was raised for a charity. It was raised and it's on.
That's awesome. I saw Chicken Foot play on some late night talk show and Chad Smith was wearing an "I AM NOT WILL FERRELL" t-shirt. I hadn't actually noticed till then that they look so much alike.
The legendary rap team’s stealthy new record is called The Wu – Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. There’ll only be one copy of the album… like, ever. It’ll be grandly “presented in a hand carved nickel-silver box designed by the British Moroccan artist Yahya,” and yes, it looks as fancy as it sounds. Before that one copy is sold, though, civilians can listen to the album when it embarks on an ambitious tour of museums, galleries, festivals, and other such happenings around the world. Then after that, the item will go up for sale, with an expected price range somewhere in the multi-millions.
Once Upon a Time in Shaolin will be a double album with 31 songs spread out over 128 minutes, all of which fans will be able to hear on headphones when it’s on tour. Provided they pay the price, however — “likely in the $30-$50 range,” Forbes reports.

That's an awful lot to hear a bunch of songs once, especially if the band isn't even going to bother to play them on stage for that cost.
