Why wouldn't I dig that? I wanna hear this stuff. Don't hold out on the Homo.

PS- I would like to state again in this thread- Pretty Girls Make Graves' Elan Vital album is awesome. Buy it. Steal it. Kill if you have to. Just make sure you own it.

Hoo boy that ADD live set from the last SFL. It has been stuck in my head for days and days. 10X better than ADD in the studio as far as I'm concerned. I dunno if anyone expects me to be an unbiased editor or anything, but screw that - ADD set > all other sets at SFL Boston.

I keep listening to the latest korn album.
I can't remember if it's cool or not to like them.

Despite their latest video (with Li'l Jon and Snoop Dogg), I think it is currently okay to listen to Korn. Korn is not only still banging out some decent music, they're changing the music business model with their recent deals with EMI and Livenation.

what song is the video for? are those guys even in the song?
weird. i really only know them from their albums. i'm immune to overplay and obnoxious crap.

The video is for "Twisted Transistor". The video is done in the style of a documentary. Here's the twist. The members of Korn after being played by rappers. Jonathan Davis is played by Li'l Jon. Munky is played by Snoop Dogg. Fieldy is played by Xzibit and David Banner plays David Silvera. Think Spinal Tap.

Here's a Yahoo Music link for the curious:

Matt Cameron you fucking god you.

Rock. My. Fucking. Groove.

(soundgarden, outshined... )

Before that , I had the "No Means No" tune "Sex is Philosophy" rockin out.

Hey Sausage Boy, you ever listen to "No Means No"? I think...not sure, but think you'd dig em.

Verdict returned.

I found these four songs:
NoMeansNo - Hey hey my my
Nomeansno - Lonely
Nomeansno - Lost
Nomeansno - Worldhood - 02 - Humans

Is this the band? And if so, you are right, I do like them. I am such a whore for a good repedative full on guitar song, though.

that's them. a brother team, the Wright brothers (seriously) one drummer, one bass. They've worked with different guitarists, they are out of Victoria BC , Canada.

I saw NOMEANSNO open for D.O.A. in 1986. Solid. Give me that Knife, Theresa is one solid slab of punk rock.

I think they're also involved with the Hanson Brothers, which sound very much like the Ramones and write songs only about Hockey. Gotta love Canada.

Both of those bands made albums with Biafra. And they both kick ass.

Agreed. I don't have the one with nomeansno, but I've heard it. The one with DOA is great—that 12 minutes opus (or however long it is) on side two, the one that's nice and slow, kicks.

THEY ARE the Hanson Brothers!

At one time, they'd tour across the country as NoMeansNo, then come back as the Hasons.

The song "Dad" (Dad, no , dad leave me alone, oh my god, no, no) became "mom"... songs would be done as hockey themes ... sounds like fun.

Matmos, I just realized, are genius. I mean, I didn't just realize it but I was just reminded of it. They coaxed beautiful music out of bowing the wires of a rat cage. How the... what the fuck. Amazing.

leonard cohen. normally, i hate "best of" albums, but his two are superb, especially since some of his earlier stuff can be hard to find. why doesn't anyone write in 6/8 anymore?

the one book of his that i've read beautiful losers is astounding.
