It means that the English as back doing what they do best - being totally crap! Australia won by 277 runs - though it would have been a lot more if England didn't have their pet South African along to make them look a bit better.

Thank goodness that Test Match is over - now all those malodorous, mishappen, troll-like creatues (aka - English supporters) can clear off out of Brisbane.

Sorry Sausaboy - they'll all be in Adelaide soon. At least you won't have to worry about them using up all of your scarce fresh-water supplies. This mob don't seem to have much use for the stuff

Yes, I sure am glad I don't live in Adelaide now.

That has nothing to do with the English though.

Oh dear, England!

Oh dear, oh dear oh dear!

Way to pull defeat from the jaws of victory!

Onya Warnie!

I will shortly be growing a large beard in honour of the great Monty after a stunning debut! I sense a stunning turnaround in the series.

Me too!
We're all hoping Monty will turn out to be a blacker, hairier, slightly less promiscous version of Warnie. It will liven up the remainder of the summer.

Imagine if he were more promiscuous! That'd liven up the summer for all those nice English lasses that are starting to tire of waiting for Warne to call them back.

It's OK everybody! The nightmare is over! Everything is going to be good again.

Australia has the Ashes back.

The earth is back on its correct axis.

Children will sing again.

Flowers will bloom again.

It's all going to be all right.

God bless Warnie

:D

...just a thought...If we round up all the Barmy Army, can we treat them as "illegal combatitants" and send them to Guantanamo Bay? I'm sure they are guilty of far more than the poor bastards who actually are locked up there. (just don't stip them naked and make them form pyramids - they'll enjoy that too much)

Well, it's all over - and what an ornament to the game this series was. Cricket really was the real winner!

It's times like these we really need to step back and truly appreciate the nature of sport and what it adds to our lives. Sure it's a cliche, but it's not about who wins or loses, or even about how you play the game - no, it's all about getting together and laughing at the English! And this recent mob they sent over really excelled themselves. Had any of them ever actually played the game before?

Anyway - now is not the time to gloat, but.....whoops - I think there was a typo there - anyway, now is the time to gloat, so to the tune of Auld Lang Syne if you please:

Five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiil
Five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-nil, five-niiiiiiiiiiil

...and repeat

See you in 2009

Wales turned out to be a great venue.

Did ya see the end to the series.

Poor Ricky, going home in shame with empty hands again.

Makes ya feel kinda sorry for those illiterate, drunken, unwashed crims.

Nice to see a team that bats hideously most days managing to regain the coveted urn.

Moderators - please remove this thread.

I do not wish to discuss this topic any more. I would just like to go somewhere quiet and be by myself for a while :(

Step away from the crack pipe Messiah.

WTF are you watching? I'm seeing Hussey and Haddin with centuries and AUS 5 down and 150 ahead in the first innings

135 - 0 at lunch...

Looks ok.

Might even save this one, as long as theres not a quick wicket after the break, followed by the inevitable batting collapse.
