Now see to me, this is more offensive and in need of more explanation than the Yoko comment. Is it because both of their names begin with the same 2 consonants? Anyway..

No.
It's because they both start with the same consonants, Bjork has a hauntingly eeire but effective voice (Bjam has a strong, almost theatrical effective voice...but that's my perrogative in making the comparision) and your yoko ono reference was "offensive" to me because in the mythology of music, Ono is the postergirl for band killer. No matter what spin you put on it, so I felt like writing something distractive cause she's (Bjam here) just not the kinda person who is deserving of such a weird, lame reference.

If you wrote "leaf is the ono of songfight" no one would care. Not even me.

Throw sand in my face if you want, but Hoblit's got your shovel.

And that's often the problem with mythology...it has little to do with the truth. Good for inspiring all sorts of passion but hardly something to perpetuate simply because it's convenient.

That said, I have no idea why Bjam and Yoko were ever joined in this discussion.

Very true on both counts. However, I would like to clarify that while I don't personally have a negative opinion of Yoko, it's pretty tough to not view "bjam is the yoko of songfight" as if wasn't referring to the most common mythological reference. referring to a reference. I'm on a role.

Right. So, maybe we want to read it like "Bjam's the misunderstood and much maligned but deep artist of songfight". I hardly think that's the first thing one would think about. Think about thinking. I'm really on a roll.

Your point, as usual, is wise and good.

Nobody threw up a distractive front when I was referred to as an iteration of Vincent Gallo!!

He says stereo sound is a scam and has been fellated by Chloe Sevigny. How could two people be any more different?

Whining is the bread and butter of Egg.

Eggs taste good with bread and butter.

That's because most people here have only the vaguest clue who he is.

Some people may consider Dan-O From Five-O to be the Trouble Stick of Songfight.

I always thought of Bjam as the Sheryl Crow of Songfight.

Matthan Minster was/is the Robert Plant of Songfight.

Ross Durand is the Lynard Skynard of Songfight. I could think of about ten more...

Kurt Pistov and the Ryan Wells trio are the black sheep of Songfight.

Corn on the Cob is the phallic symbol of Songfight.

Oooh, I'd rather be called Yoko!

Dan-O from Five-O is the Gene Simmons of Songfight, definitely.

I also have a sneaking suspicion that Fried is the Dan-O from Five-0 from Songfight. You never see them in the same thread together, do you?

Oh yeah, and 15-16 Puzzle is the Andrew Dice Clay of Songfight. Bwah, ha, and indeed ha!
