As long as it keeps tune and can be amplified it's fine by me.

Any room left on this star splattered roster for a lothly Los Angeles resident whose garenteed job that was keeping him from performing at this show just fell through?

I'll be broke and unprepared, but I'll still rock socks.

We still have several practices coming up. Is there something we can back you up on, pfm?

Backed by Octothorp?! Dreams to come true!

How do you guys feel about Men At Work Covers?

And thanks for the hug Fluffy. My missing the show was the only really bad part about moving to Vegas. Being able to once again do the show (if the lineup's not too full) has become the silver lineing to my current situation.

I have a sorta-friend in LA who might or might not be coming, but she is concerned about whether it's an over-21 venue, because although she is over 21 and has an ID, she "looks young" and is afraid that this might get in the way of her getting in, or something. I presume it's not over 21 since the venue is not a bar, but she is still worried nonetheless. So I have to ask:

Is it over-21?

Also, her other big concern is:

Are any of the people performing perverts?

Because if so she probably won't come.

(I'm not entirely sure how I know her. I just thought I'd be nice and invite her, though. But she's afraid of people being perverts, or possibly of being "starving musicians who have philosophies on life.")

So anyway, if anyone can tell me if it's an over-21 venue and if the people playing will be perverts, that would be quite helpful.

WTF.

I'm assuming that this venue is similar to it's counterpart in Hollywood and has no age considerations. At thr last show the Blue Clan youngins were runnin amuck, and I'm assuming that your friend has them beat by a few years. As far as the perverts go, I'm not sure any promises can be made. If it helps, I will do my best to avoid the words "wang", "chode", and "youthfully supple funbags" in my set.

Wow, that's a tough one, fluffy. I suppose we are all perverts by someone's definition. I suggest she not leave her house - ever. Unless, you know, there are perverts living there, too.

On another subject, point us to some charts, pfm, or at least titles.

Ironically, she is pretty perverted herself, but she doesn't think that paintings of anthropomorphic wolves bound and gagged in heavy bondage gear qualifies as such.

I probably shouldn't mention this in case she does show up and everyone decides to embarrass the shit out of her.

Word. I was meaning to return your call earlier this week, but I've been so swamped with this damn sasquatch movie. Thank god this is the last week on it.

Spud, I'll strive to have a set list done by tonight. I'm thinkign it would be fun as hell to play with you guys on Overkill by Men At Work, and if there are any other songs (pfm, #, or otherwise) you would like to do I would be thrilled to participate. I'll look up some good charts for Overkill and can send you an mp3/aac/whatever of the song if you want it.

Ken and Sam, I'd be honored if you both joined the prayformojo Good Times Fun Band once again. I think Jeff Phurrough, who sang back up vocals last time, will be back as well. Now I need a bass player.

I'm also curious as to what the timefram per performer is so I can plan my list. I'm assuming we're shooting for about half an hour as per usual, but since I'm a late comer here I realize htere may not be as much time laft over for my set. Let me know so I can plan accordingly.

Now I'm all excited about this.

I think we may be down to 25 minutes each at this point. We can usually fit in 10 bands at 30 minutes each if a couple of folks don't mind playing at 7pm.

The Loyalty Day/Merisan/Tiny Robots triumverate is soliciting applications for bass and/or keys for our set. PM me for more info.

Cool. Yeah, I wasn't trying to replace the Good Times Fun Band, just get a chance to do SOMETHING with you. If you wanna solo on our Step Up, that would be cool, too. Melodica, or whatever. We traditionally have an guest soloist in there somewhere. Last time it was Sober on mandolin.

I'm honored to have you guys among the ranks of The Good Times Fun Band. The list of talented fighters I've had the good fortune of playing with is a great thing indeed.

I'd love to do the Step up solo, and I'm really excited to do the Men At Work cover with you guys as well! Once I finalize my setlist we can chat more about potential Octo-mojo colabs.

Um fluffy, hi I'm Sean, card carrying deviant, nice to meet you. Your friend may want to close her ears during my set and you can show her my picture beforehand so that she knows to avoid me.
Age isn't a problem, though, as long as no one under 21 is drinking.

Welcome mojo!

General note: We'll have plenty of time, just remember to be efficient getting up and off stage. My set will be short and sweet, and I imagine many of the solo acts will be relatively shorter than the full bands if for no other reason than setup time.

If you have a full band be sure to be there by 5-6 to make sure we're set up by 7 and you've been sound checked.

Keep sending me band lineups

Sean, that image is awesome, although the black text is a bit hard to read over the dark green. Maybe a lighter green would create more contrast?

Great job, Sean. You should engrave that into the next guitar you customize!

BTW, the big black letters in the green circles can be rearranged into "FLAKES ROMP."
