All that jazz. I'm tempted to use SF "alumni" names as the bandmembers. Can you not just see a group of Songfighters getting together to form a boyband?

been there. done that.

...That's kinda scary. Actually, very scary. But did you have matching outfits and choreography?

Carol Cleveland Sings will be returning from their sabbatical for abcd puppies.
Hats off to two Jim of Seattle songs in one week!

Aw shucks. Even better than that, someone decided to cover my Zero to Phantom, and I guarantee it's going to be WAY better than what I would have done with it.
Wow, Carol Cleveland and me in the same fight. All we need now is Level Nivelo and Future Boy and we'd have a Complete Cute Novelty Song-Off!!

My own comeback seems this big in comparison.

I'd agree if it were socially accepted.

Hey hey hey know what's funny huh huh? My first impulse after seeing Zero to Phantom was to go find and listen to the theme for Zero from Mega Man... and for Phantom of the Opera... and consider a crappy techno remix starting with the first theme and blending them until it turned into the second. Then I realized how big a nerd I am, and bludgeoned myself unconscious with a tube sock full of SDRAM.

How nerdy does that make me when, halfway through your post, I was thinking, "Ooh, that sounds cool".

How nerdy of me is that I thought that hitting someone with a sock full of SDRAM was a good idea...

I'm down with the cute novelty aspect. And a total CCS fan boy. Well, uh, sorta...

Aargh.. my neighbors decided to chop down a forest of trees in their yard today for some reason, so I can't really record. I've only recorded rough scratch tracks and I don't have lyrics written yet, so this might not come together in time unless I wake up tomorrow in a vaguely conscious state. Grr.

Ok I'm done and in with a deconstructed punk classic (read : no drums). rather disappointingly, there is no audible sound quality reduction between the wav and the 64 kps mono mp3!
It's the story of a man who picks a fight with a man he knows he can't beat just to impress his lady friend. Like you do.

I'm trying to figure out how either of the titles fits in with that idea...

Is there such a thing as a story that
would fit either of these titles?

Course there is, "Zero to Phantom"... Think about it.
Easy leap:
(Nice)guy has a lady ("can't we just be) friend(s?").
Picks a fight with a guy who WAY outclasses him just to say to her, "Check me out,
I have testosterone."
Obviously the story would take a turn for the worse (at least from "Zero's" viewpoint.) And... voila--
Zero to ...er "phantom", eh?
